im having an issue with my graphics card, i have a GeForce 8800 GTS all of my drivers are up-to-daye but i seem to keep on getting green and red dots all over my screen, i've played with some of the settings but nothing has worked, could this be a monitor issue?

Please post the specs of your entire PC including PSU.

But so far it sounds like your card is artifacting which is usually a sign of overheating, too much of an OC, or a defective video card.

[Testing the GPU]
Use Furmark or ATI Tool to stress test the GPU. If you see any artifacts, the GPU could be overheating, too overclocked, or faulty.

I fixed it!!! and boy do i feel dumb, my cord wasn't plugged in all the way on my monitor but as soon as i pushed it in all the way all everything cleared up, thanks for your help though
