Diamond Monster 3D II Voodoo 2
ATI Rage Fury 128 32mb
ATI Rage Fury MAXX 64mb
VisionTek GeForce3
EVGA Geforce FX5900SE

Current Card:

EVGA Geforce 7600GT

>ISA>
Trident 512k (maybe even 1mb, can't remember)
>PCI>
S3 Trio
Riva 128
On-board SiS crapola
TNT 2 (for Quake 3)
Voodoo 3 3000 (TNT2 was too slow)
>AGP>
GeForce DDR
Radeon 64 DDR (only while the above was being RMA'd)
GeForce 3 Ti200
GeForce 4 Ti4400
Radeon 9700
EDIT: GeForce FX5200 (in my second box)
GeForce 6800GT
>PCI-E>
GeForce 7800GTX
Radeon X1900XT

EDIT: I know where all the AGP cards and onward (except the Radeon 64, which I got a refund on) are installed too! I had a 3DLabs Oxygen GVX1 for a time, but I can't remember where it slots into the picture (around the GeForce3 period I think). HUGE card, longer than the mobo it was installed in. Quickly sold for a tidy profit, as it's not exactly the kind of card you can run games on.

ATI 7500
Ati 9200
Nvidia 5200 256mb
Ati 9600xt
Nvidia 6600gt
Ati 800xl
Ati 850pro
Nvidia 5200 128mb (I had to sell my x850 cuz I was strapped for cash).. im upgrading to pci express soon anyways.

My list is pretty short

S3 Trio64 (1 MB super-pimpy version)

Integrated ATI Rage Pro Turbo (4MB)

Elsa Erazor X (32 MB nVidia GeForce256 SDR)

Sapphire Radeon 9600 (256MB Bastard horrible version)
VisionTek Radeon 9200SE (In my HTPC. Not a bad card if ATI's TV out didn't suck)

PNY GeForce 6600GT

XFX GeForce 6800GT

heres mine:

1) 64K CGA on an old IBM 80286
2) too many 256K and 512K cirrus logics to remember
3) My first "real" accelerator was a voodoo 2 12MB attached to a 8MB Diamond Viper (PCI accelerator!)
4)First AGP: 8MB Intel noname (ran Triple Play 96 perfectly though!)
5) TNT 2 16MB (back to PCI!!) - i thought 16MB was faster than 8MB AGP bc of memory (I was only 14!)
6) Gainward Geforce 2 MX 200
7) BFG Geforce 4 TI 4200 (died - replaced by 8 w/ extended warranty)
8) BFG Geforce FX 5900 XT-OC (dies - replaced by 9)
9) Another BFG Geforce FX 5900 XT-OC (died yet again - i think my AGP port sucked bc it killed 3 cards over a 2 year span) - finally replaced by 11
10) Used Gainward Geforce 6600 from ebay - temp (I needed a BF2 fix and I had no card for a month waiting for warranty)
11) BFG 6800 OC AGP (in sig)

Basically, all I can say is that BFG has THE BEST warranty in teh world! I bought a $90 ti 4200 in 2002 and it has turned into 2 upgrades since then for free.

There's my history

Hmm, let's see....

Radeon 32mb DDR
Power Color Radeon 8500 LE
Radeon 9800XT
GeForce 6800 128mb
GeForce Go 7800 GTX

Radeon 9000 64mb-came with my first computer I ever bought for gaming 3-4 yrs ago Yay emachines ;)

Radeon 9600se- Bought it for 130 dollars thinking it was a good deal. Then I was completly oblivious to pipelines and ram speed and all that. But I knew something was wrong when my "upgrade" gave me the same performance in Halo as my 9000. Thus my studying began.

Nvidia 6800nu 128 agp- Great card, got it for about 180 bucks back in summer.

Leadtek 6800gt 256mb agp - Yeah, this card was great untill about 2 weeks later it shit itself while I was playing quake 4 the day it cam out. I went to rma but they didn't have anymore so zipzoom gave me a full refund. I put it towards....

Evga 7800gtx- Bought this because I got it for 450 with a evga sli mobo for free and bf2. Awesome card. Sold it to my roomate for 380 when 7900 gtx hit.

PNY 7900gtx- So far its been awesome. I got mine the monday after they came out. I went with the PNY card because it was 479.99 shippedat monarch. Funny thing is the very next day after I place my order they went to 520. No idea what they are seling for now.

Now I am just waiting for that second tax return check so I can get that 4200+ x2 because I know that my 3000+ is definatly choking my 7900gtx.

Ok i'm done rambling on, to much caffeine makes me type too much :p

Some really cheap 1 or 4mb card. Probably a trio.
Viper TNT 16mb
Monster 3D II (voodoo 2) x2
GeForce 256 SDR 32mb
GeForce 4 TI4400 128mb
Radeon VE (HTPC) 64mb
Nvidia 6600 GT
Current - Radeon 9200SE (HTPC)
Current - 7800 GTX 256mb

And that is where I'll stay until the DX10 cards come out and some games take advantage. My TI4400 lasted me 3 years, and I'm hoping the 7800 is similar. Almost 1 year down. :D

That 7900 must have been a huge jump. You'd barely upgraded since the GTS.

Let's see...

Trident 4MB Software card
Permedia2 OpenGL/D3D
Voodoo Rush
Voodoo Banshee
Voodoo2
Voodoo3 3500 TV in almost perfect condition still (included in pic and works :D)
Geforce 3 Ti200 (doesn't work and included in pic but overclocked like crazy, 265/560 from 175/400)
Geforce4 Ti4400 (it was PNY and died after two weeks from memory corruption)
Geforce4 Ti4600 (gainward and also died after about a month with 3 rmas)
ATI Radeon X800Pro (that i'm still using and worked flawlessly for the past two years)

I've had just plain BAD luck with all my Nvidia cards. I really don't know what the hell happened but they've all sucked really bad. I think my next card may be an ATI but i'm not ruling out one of those 7900GT's right now :D.

Forgot to upload my pic.. haha

1988

working for an electronics company in Silicon Valley, we were still doing drafting on vellum, i felt like i was being left behind.

went and got a job with a local consultant who does finite element analysis. very talented person with a big backlog, gave me a program named "Aries" to play with. full-blown 3D solid-modelling - on a 286 !

we paid $500 a meg for each of 10 MB of RAM.

the video card was $4000. it was ISA bus.

. . .

2005

got an Asus X850XT. PCI-express.
