So here's the deal. In order for my 470's to be adequately cooled, I need to up my vf3000's to ~70%, and noise is an issue. Here are my thoughts...

I was wondering if it's possible for me to cut the fan wires that came with the stock cooler's and splice them to the vf3000f's fan wires. This way I can plug them directly into the video cards and use MSI Afterburner for fan control. Would the card be able to supply enough power to the Zalmans? Has this been done before?

you will probably need to find how many amps the VF3000 fans require to run and how many amps the stock fan uses.. should give you a good idea on if it will work or not..
