for the ram, i have just three quick questions:
does the speed of the ram have to be compatible with my mobo?
also do i need like a fan for ram?
and lastly, what pin is right for mine? i have an AMD

1. first of all -> what mobo... I see an ECS in your sig, it might be one of those supporting SDR and DDR...
2. nope - no need for active cooling the ram...
3. ...pin count? DDR - 184 pins; SDR - 168 pins (as far as I remember...)

....yes, but usually "fast enough" is the right answer. Keep in mind, however, that depending on the CPU installed, you will find the front side bus speed may be different.
