Agreed with Arcanum. ToEE doesn't really have a "story". It is more for people like me who love well developed turn based combat witha proper ruleset and UI. Arcanum has ok-mediocre combat, but awesome quests that are fairly well written.

They were both $5 at GoG last time I checked.
 
I just had an awful experience with this game.
My character was constantly being stuck into doors.

I got so frustrated that I deleted the game after 30 minutes.

Never seen that before, did you have any of the community patches installed? Might be worth trying them if not, or trying a different version if you did.

Sounds like you didn't patch the game.
 
There is a few posts re: getting stuck in doorways over at the Steam/Bloodlines forum.
Bottom line- wait a second for the door to fully open.

I had a brief glimpse of this but I just waited a sec before plunging throught the door and never had a problem since.

Imo it's that our modern gaming systems are too fast for the older game to keep up.
 
Yep, I did install the True patch.
I got also stuck in stupid places like the end of a corridor.

My issues may be related to my exotic setup (crossfire at 2560*1600).

Anyway, I will not waste any more second on this buggy game. Life is too short!

I used the Unofficial patch.
