Value bookshelf/wallmount speakers

I have recently moved to a new apartment and I do not have the floor space for my old noname floor speakers.

Can anyone recommend me a pair of good speakers that I can put on a shelf or wallmount?

The sound quality does not have to be through the roof, as they will be used for radio/music/video/gaming with an older Sherwood amp.

I have a limited budget of ~200$/130£/150€ for a pair and I would not mind getting below without buying a pair of tin cans.

I live in the EU, making it very expensive to buy from any US retailer, luckily amazon.co.uk has an OK selection.

I have no knowledge of speakers and will appreciate any help.

Wharfdale Diamonds have twin rear firing bass ports... Might not be the best idea to wall mount them unless you're gonna use some sorta bracket that leaves a healthy amount of space between them and the wall.

Infinity's Primus line is in that price range and they're front ported, the smaller P143 & P153 even come with some fittings for wall mounting already. It's still not optimal placement but it'd be better than putting rear firing speakers against a wall IMO, almost sealing the port.
 
Dali for 179 is a very nice speaker btw. If you want a stellar performer I really like that one. Heard it at my local shop and want a pair myself. However, anything listed will sound great. The rear firing port thing is true. Sorry I wasn't paying attention to it. Who makes a rear ported bookshelf ffs? Stupid.
 
Dayton B652. Around $44. Amazing speaker for the money, do a search on it. Amazon sells it in addition to Parts Express
 
Thanks for the suggestions, I think that I will just save up a little extra cash and go for a pair of Dali Concept 1 :)

Good idea. They are life like in their sound reproduction. Gives you goosebumps kind of quality. You can upgrade the rest of your electronics over time to improve their sound. They will last forever.
