USB 3.0 Activity LED

I'm looking to add an Activity LED inline of a USB 3.0 cable.
Been searching faithful Google with little results.

Anyone know the wiring and resistors needed to accomplish this?
 
I'm not sure how exactly to achive this but I can say it would almost certainly require a lot more than just "wiring and resistors".

You would have to read the USB spec, figure out what changed between an active line and an inactive line and then build a circuit that could detect that without disturbing communications.
 
Here is a pic that might help you. I don't know eletrical stuff very much but a very low resistor with an LED should work fine the resister amount would be determined by the LED.

The problem is you have to detect activity on the line WITHOUT disturbing communication. On something like RS232 this is easy since things are running slowly and driven by high current drivers so it won't care about the extra load of an LED. USB3 on the other hand is a sensitive LVDS link running at gigabits per second. The load of an LED is almost certain to screw up communications and i'm not even sure if there is an easy to detect idle state.

Not sure if the goflex is using the activity from the SATA or USB 3.
