Hey guys, I'm looking to get a few upgrades and I'm not quite sure where to start. I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard, cpu, and video card. For a motherboard, I was thinking of grabbing an ASUS M3A78-T AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard along with a AMD Phenom 9600 Agena 2.3GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 95W Quad-Core Processor from Newegg.com.

It's primarily a gaming rig. I use my pc for much more though. I just want an upgrade that will give me noticeable performance increase.

Not too sure on the gfx card yet, I'm trying to decide between the various 8800 models. Right now i'm using a 7900, so I'm sure any of them will give me quite a boost.

Indeed, the 8800GT is not a bad idea depending on what games you want to run you should be able to get the G92 for like $180 ..... You could also look into an HD4850, those are between $150-180

You'll also need new memory. If I remember from your other post you were running an older A8N DDR1 board.
