I'm on an E6300 @ 2.93ghz (419fsb) on an Abit ab9 pro with an 512mb X1800XT. I'm running Vista, have 2gig's of ocz gold ram running at 838mhz 4-4-4-12 , and primarily use the system for gaming. Would I notice much of a difference in my system performance by upgrading thecpu to an E6750/E6850 or q6600 and over-clocking it?

Im looking forward to playing crysis, alan wake, ut3/2007, Hellgate london and other games.

Would I be better off buying an 8800GTX and leaving the rest alone? Buying another 2 gig's of ram and calling it a day till the 9800's, Penryn and Phenom's show? What do you guys think.

Not worth the trouble. Just wait until the 9800s and Penryn show up. Although if you want a in crease in gaming performance right now, pick up the 8800GTS 320MB.

agree with Danny, just upgrade the gpu now if you are inclined to upgrade.
