im upgrading my old e8400 pc and was going to get a asrock z77 extreme 4 but i dont know witch processor to get.what i mostly do is game and do a multitasking.i was thinking about the i7 2600k or the i5 3570k witch i could get for about the same price or i could save up some more and get a i7 3770k. witch do you think of those three would be the best.

I'd get the 2600k over the 3570k for the same price, but either way you should be fine for gaming.

out of curiosity, may i ask the price of the 2600K and 3570K? but also the price of the motherboard.. its too much the difference over a newer Z97+4790K..?

2600k definitely if at the same price as the 3570k.

3770k is only a little bit quicker than the 2600k. See here. If you're getting a killer deal on the 2600k (sounds like you are if its the same cost as a 3570k), there is no real point in going with the 3770k because you're already getting 95% of its performance of the 3770k. You can use the Z77 chipset with your 2600k, so you have the best of both worlds.

As for the Asrock Z77 Extreme4, i've been using one for a year or 2 now. It's handled everything i've thrown at it and runs my 3770k @ 4.6 with only a slight bump in the volts @ LLC1. It runs all 4 slots of ram occupied at full ram speed / timings (2133mhz, 9-11-10-28-1t) at full cpu overclocked settings. It's a solid board and i would expect it to overclock a 2600k even better given SNB and all.
