Upgrading - Opinions

CPU or mobo finally bit it. The system is too old for replacements now.

I am upgrading from:

Abit NF7-S v2
Althon XP-m 2400+
Generic 200Mhz DDR (blew up the old performance ram)
6800GS (AGP)

Will be keeping:
Corsair HX520 PSU (recent upgrade - fans died on old one. Picked this one in hopes it could support my next system upgrade)
320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Recent upgrade - filled up the old one)
Case/fans
Peripherals

Budget ~$700
Considering:
G0 Q6600 or E6750
Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800
Abit IP35-E
Thermalright Ultima120 + 120mm fan or I have an old custom watercooling setup that I could use.
8800GT vid card (if I can find one)

I think I got everything. Oh yeah I wish to overclock.
Suggestions?

Go with the Ultima90 instead of the Ultra 120 if you get the E6750.

This will help you determine whether or not the quadcore is for you...

Also, if you don't upgrade often, the quadcore should last you much longer than the dual core.
