I think I can get like $230 for my 7700k, newegg has the 9700k for $260. maybe even less if I wait till cyber monday? I can get a 300 series motherboard for about $100, and sell my old one for $60. my cpu is bottlenecking in warzone. and if I can ever get my hands on a 3070 gpu I probably would so I'm thinking I may as well do a little upgrade? or I could wait till intel 11th gen. I'm not against going amd either.

your plan is sound. it will relive the bottleneck. A 3070 will work fine on a 9700x.

That's weird that the 7700K would bottleneck in Warzone but a 9700K wouldn't, especially when the 7700K is overclocked. Both CPUs have 8 threads.

That said, if someone is willing to give you $230.00 for a 7700K you should take that deal without thinking twice.

its weird, they sell for $250 all day on ebay. the 9700k does have double the amount of cores.

9900K is on sale for $320 now. For a little extra, you get the hyper threading enabled and an i9 series cpu.

is it worth $60 more than the 9700K?
If you have a microcenter nearby, the 9700k is 200 and the 9900k is 300. I personally believe the 9900k is worth the extra, but at these prices, both are a good choice.

Ouch. Well, if you have a family member or friend that is close to one, you could have them pick it up and ship it to you. I know that's a pita, and with Newegg and Amazon offering free shipping, that might be a better way to go.

I've seen 9900k's at $320 for BF. Solid deal. I mean it's not 9700k at $200, but harder to come by those.
