I was thinking get an i5-2500k. processor just in caseI end up getting PTZ, or IP Cameras down the road that this PC can handle it. My current Security System PC has lasted me around 7 years now is noticeably slow.
If any of you think i should be getting other things please i am open for suggestions! As far as the hard drive goes. I was told to get an av-gp drive because they are designed for constant read/writing.

Thanks!

Since you live in CA, I recommend buying as much of your parts as possible from Amazon.com since they do not charge CA residents sales tax.

Anyway, I recommend this setup instead:
$199 - Intel Core i5-3450 CPU
$114 - MSI Z77A-G43 Intel Z77 ATX Motherboard
$39 - Corsair CMV8GX3M2A1333C9 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
$117 - Western Digital AV-GP WD20EURS 2TB SATA HDD
$41 - Antec Earthwatts Green EA380D 380W PSU
$50 - NZXT Source 210 Elite White with Black Front Trim ATX Case
---
Total: $560 shipped

how is the i5-3450 compared to the 2500k?

Same performance basically. Since you're not overclocking, no reason to get the 2500K. The Core i5 3450 runs a bit cooler and has slightly faster onboard video.

will the thermal take pure power 430 that i have not work with this build?

Oh i see. And you think the 380 watt power supply will do the job and last?
This pc will be on 24/7

So this is what i ended up ordering.....
Will i have any regrets down the road?

The PSU wasn't a good choice: the Antec I listed is of higher quality and more efficient and therefore more suited to 24 hour operations than that CX430. In addition, the actual power difference between the two PSU is only 12W: The CX430 only has 28A on the +12V rail whereas the Antec EA380D has 27A on the +12V rail. Most PC parts draw power from that +12V rail.

So if you can, cancel the order and go with the Antec. It's simply the better option unless you really need that extra 12W of power.
