Ok so i'm living in the dark ages, and now is gonna be the time to upgrade. I will be doing this within the next few days. You can see my specs in my sig. I haven't had time to keep up with all the tech so i'm coming here once again for advice.

I use an infocus sp4805 projector, but will upgrade to a lcd 1080p tv for a monitor when the projector bulb burns out. But it is fairly new so I have some time for that. Hopefully by the time I need that, the big lcd's (40+ inches) will be much lower. But that means I will be kept at 1024x768 res, but I want all the eye candy I can get in my games turned on if possible with good fps. My screen size right now is almost 4 foot x 8 foot due to my throw distance. Looks good but I have to run everything on low in my games these days.

When I have the time, I play TF2, BF2, hell if I had a better pc I might get a new game....I do racing sims like rFactor and IRacing, I watch dvd's in my home theater (my office is my theater) and listen to my tunes of course. I have surround sound via soundblaster audigy.

My budget is somewhere between 400 low end and 800.00 high end. I only need the mobo, cpu, ram, graphics, maybe psu at this point. I have a big case (thermaltake tsunami).

I would appreciate any suggestions that would fit what I need and can handle in my case. If you think I need new sound; tell me...better psu because of whatever, tell me.

I like being able to upgrade for the future because when I got the barton I kinda bought when I would have needed to change the whole pc to get new and keep up, but the difference just wasn't there. I'm not a keep up with the jones's kinda guy. But I might like to go quad in a couple years if it is a lot better and games take advantage of the tech.

You get the idea... so suggest away if you have the time or inclination. Thanks in advance!!

Btw my family will get the guts of the barton setup as a gift...I always do that for them. They aren't as needy as me in that dept.

Please answer these questions:
3) Where do you live?
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
6) Will you be overclocking?
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?
