I am a Linux guy, the only Windows machine i have is a server that I game with. It has no AGP/PCI-e slots, only PCI. Right now I am running a FX5200 to do some gaming ( BF2 on low settings) My question is , should I spend $83.00 to upgrade to this FX5500? There are not alot of PCI cards out there.

Thanks for your input.

Maybe the FX5700 PCI might be the better choice (unless I made up the card in my head :D )

I think I remember seeing one.

def. a good call.

rare as hen's teeth? some weird expressions around here...

hahaha. I wonder if I can unlock this thing to a 6600? Its not a Turbocache.

Do the 128mb cards allow that?

i truly have no idea about the pci version; i know that it is a possibility with the pci-e.

Until 30 seconds ago I had no idea there was a PCI 6200. If I came accross this on the web I would have thought it was a typo. I'm still not 100% convinced it's not. Interesting, nontheless....
