I need a new processor/mobo/memory.

I plan on using this machine to do mainly Microsoft Office, Web Surfing, Media (netflix, and playing music). I don't game heavily anymore and I don't do any video editing.
I would love to utilize the current PS and Video card.

My budget is $600 for a mobo/processor/memory combo.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? UEFI? etc.
 
I live in the USA
No overclocking
Raid would be nice, crossfire not needed, USB 3.0 nice but not needed, I have a graphics card.

Not a good setup since you're not overclocking (both the CPU and motherboard are more oriented towards overclockers). IN addition, two of those parts are fairly overpriced (the RAM and motherboard). Go for this setup instead:

$305 - Intel Core i7-4770K CPU
$88 - ASRock H87M Pro4 Intel H87 mATX Motherboard
$128 - 2 x Kingston HyperX Blu KHX1600C10D3B1/8G 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
---
Total: $521 shipped.

The above CPU is a better transition for you since it has the HT feature as your now dead i7 920. The Core i5 CPUs do not have HT. Since you're not overclocking, I didn't see a good reason for you to spend that much money on a motherboard. The above Kingston RAM has similar real-world performance as that G.Skill RAM yet is much cheaper.

As for your HSF question, if you happen to live in an area that gets hot/warm often, then you'd want to get a 3rd party HSF. If your home/area is cool/cold all year round, then no real need for a 3rd party HSF. If you do want a 3rd party HSF, I recommend this:
