Unlocking X1900 GT

[Matas]

While unlocking X1900GT's 12 pixel pipelines to 16, does unlocks 12 TMUs/ROPs to 16?

[Marvelous]

It should... But most 1900gt don't unlock...

^ as stated above, the X1900GTs dont unlock. Hardmod or softmod.

^correction, you can unlock a x1900gt if you have the right card. here is the entire thread about it on techpowerup forums. http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=13191

QFT you will kill your card they dont unlock.

The GT is a different architecture, the cards either do not have the extra 4 pipes, or they are laser cut.

The cards which are guaranteed of unlocking are the GTO2 cards (not to be mistaken with the GTO cards)
