Unlocking X1900 GT

While unlocking X1900GT's 12 pixel pipelines to 16, does unlocks 12 TMUs/ROPs to 16?
 
I've been through that TechPowerup thread since it's inception.

The cards dont unlock.
 
The GT is a different architecture, the cards either do not have the extra 4 pipes, or they are laser cut.

The cards which are guaranteed of unlocking are the GTO2 cards (not to be mistaken with the GTO cards)
