1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming only. Intend on using my 50" TV at 1920x1080. So I want something that will play all, and hopefully the near future, games at high frame rates at that resolution.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1,000ish
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Toledo, Ohio - little over 2 hours away from a microcenter
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Case, MB, Processor, RAM, DVD Burner, Power Supply, Graphics Card (I'd like to get into 3d gaming possibly, my tv is 3D), HD, SSD as well if it fits in the budget and the benefits are as advertised, Windows 8 as well. Keyboard & Mouse unless it sacrifices too much $$$. (I have an old keyboard and mouse, nothing fancy)
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None other than possibly keyboard & mouse.
6) Will you be overclocking?
Hopefully not for a couple years, but will in the future if newer games start to suffer.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1920x1080. 50"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Have the cash now, open to suggestion if I need to wait for a few weeks if something is coming out soon that you suggest I get or if it'd drop the prices of current hardware.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Leaving this up to you folks, I'm assuming SLI Support for future upgrade to graphics power would be smart.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Time to upgrade from Vista, I'd like Windows 8.

Thanks a bunch... Been about 7 years since I've last built a PC... Just to be certain, do I need to purchase a heatsink/fan for the processor?

Not really, unless you want to overclock immediately.

Thanks again Danny Bui, I got everything you suggested, but got this card instead. SAPPHIRE 100352-2L Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202006&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_sp=&AID=10440897&PID=3891137&SID=rewrite

Decided an extra hundred was worth the performance increase.

Been a looong time since I've built one (I've built 2), but I'm hoping not much has changed.. SSD is new to me, hopefully that won't be a hangup.
