Mod Edit - Tsk, tsk....spamming the same thread multiple times across multiple forums is not only against the rules, it's just downright rude. This is the right place for this thread....and, one thread per topic, please. - BlindedByScience

i guess u missed the thread about ultra being crap. its not all about having just a good voltage output but clean power. my psu puts out 12V@60A ;)

btw please lock this flame bait thread asap

The quality is really mixed. My old V-Series 500W has been working great daily for almost 2 years with pretty decent overclocked loads. The new X-Connect VS I bought a couple of months ago fizzled out with a light load in a little over a month of occasional use. It's made so poorly I haven't decided whether to RMA it, or take it as a $15AR lesson.

I've had other Ultra models over the years and I don't really have any complaints or praise for those in general.

both of mine have been serving me well. One for 4 years, one for 2 years. Not bad for $25 a pop.

"THE BEST" - hehehe, now that's pretty durn funny.

Lol I had the very frist X-Connect Ultra PSU still works now i think that been over 4 years of constant use. Some Ultra psu's are good others miss the mark completely.

"Ultra" relies on OEMs for everything, and it's hit and miss. Wintech units are trash, others, not always.

They're anything but "best" and this thread is completely pointless.

I call the OP a troll.

Anyone who proclaims something they own that is known to be subpar the best... ugh. That's like me calling my Striker Extreme the best when in reality its a glorified shiny POS. :)

Unless you mean best damn paperweight of a motherboard? ;)

Nothing to see here, move on. We all know the truth.

I don't know that at all - what I do know is the X3's are anything but subpar. All the Wintech built stuff they have... those are the subpar ones. Ultra isn't a total write-off. Yet. Give them time though.

That said, the OP is definitely trolling.

i think the op has fluffy neon colored hair that when you shake him back and forth it sticks straight up. I have an ultra case that I got for free. It's pretty nice. But the psus are hit or miss

this was just to see what people thought about ultra and to see who their recamendations were for power supplys. lol it wasent just to say

Well, wouldn't it have been better to start off with something like "Hey, I really like my Ultra PSU. Who's a fan of them?" or something like that.

However, you came in with a post starting off "OMG!!11111 Ultra r0x0rs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It' teh bestest FTW!"

Regardless of how you intended it, your original post made you appear as a blind Ultra fan. It got a discussion, but apparently not the kind you were hoping for.
If you look at reviews of Ultra PSU's---reviews that check to make sure the PSU actually provides the output it claims, not just "hey, this is great because it didn't blow up our test rig"---they're hit or miss. They're either pretty decent units or crap.
