Little benefit? Dont forget that some people have 30" monitors, With an aftermarket cooler, faster core/memory the powercolor is kind of atractive, especially for overcloking oriented people: way easier to overclock 2x1GB 4870s than a single 4870X2

260 for visiontek with 512mb....314 for 1gb model....thats not that bad at all for double the memory...

The Sapphire 1GB version is $299. IMO thats a much better buy than the 896mb 260GTX.
