The Klipsch ProMedias only have a power switch on the back of the sub. Which happens to be under my desk in a place that's hard to reach. So, in other words do I "have" to reach under the desk and turn off my speakers at night? Will anything bad happen if I just leave them on?

Mine have been on for 8 years, still work great. The 4.1's never had a power switch.

Hm. I wonder if the nominal power draw involved would justify buying a $9 power strip that you could place in an accessible location to use only for turning the set off.

Good point. But I don't pay the bills around here, so I don't have to worry about it. Besides, I'll probably upgrade them to something else before a power strip would be worth it.
