I'm OCing a E3110 Xeon to 3.6 (400x9) on a EP45 UD3P. The maximum voltage it pulls from CPU-Z is 1.280v, which I know is safe. I've had a few BSOD. A couple while OCing my GPU a month or two ago, then nothing until today. GPU is now back at stock. Page Fault in Non Page Area today... the bug checks comes back as ntkrnlmp.exe. The older BSOD mini dumps are also the ntkrnlmp.exe and one was a DX file.

Prime95 is stable for 18 hours and I also ran a memory check on the system. I'm running Avast AV. These are happening so infrequently and are not reproducible so there's nothing I can think of to disable/change that would show it has been fixed.

I'm asking this here because maybe I'm not giving it enough volts or maybe there's something else I could check before working on software possibilities. What next?
 
Yes you are expecting too much at or near stock voltage. Run it at 1.35V or so. 1.4V is not out of the question depending on temps. As always you need to determine the min voltage required to sustain an overclock at your target frequency by stress testing.

On the other hand the informatin you provided tells me nothing about what your settings are/where at the 3.6GHz. No information at to what GPU and its settings. I too tend to blame the attempt to OC the GPU as they are so well binned for speed at the card manuf these days its difficult to get much more out of them.

Anyway if you are running that X3110 (E8400 with xeon sticker on it) at 3.6 with 1.28V - give it more voltage.

It would not kill you to tell us your Realtemp temps too. at ildle and with prime 95 running on all cores for 10 minutes.

18 Hours of Prim95 is not enough to stress test it? It also passes Intel Burn In v2.

I'm not OCing the GPU anymore so that doesn't matter.

Idles 35-40 ... Burn in testing it hits upper 50's, sometimes into lower 60's.

Automatic voltage is 1.225v I set it to 1.3v and it loaded the desktop and blue screened. I set it to 1.25 and it blue screened before even hitting windows.

Giving it more power doesn't seem to be what it wants.
