I had never really heard of TRENDnet before but keep seeing ads for their products in the Fry's ads (Fry's is huge awesome electronics store). Are they a reputable company? Would you recommend any of their products?

The reason I ask is because they seem to be so much cheaper than other big name brands (Belkin, D-Link, etc.).

I'm using two TRENDnet switches, the 5 and 8 port GbE ones. I had the 5 port at home and upgraded to the 8, so I use the 5 on my desk at work (100Mb drops, so the GbE is handy for transferring stuff between the multiple PCs on my desk). They're sturdy, metal units and I've had no problems at all (as with most switches I've used). However, they don't support jumbo frames, if that's something you're interested in.

From what I have seen, TRENDnet tends to buy d-link's old designs, rebrand them and sell them as their own.

This was a lifesaver on their wireless print servers after D-link EoL'd theirs.

I have a Trendnet 802.11N router w/gb ports and its been perfectly stable

Been around for quite a while. Hardware under the hood quite similar to DLinks products...sharing the same guts, just their own firmware. A little less expensive.

Like any of the mainstream brands, people have varying luck with them, "luck of the draw". Not junk, not top either.

Awesome! I will definitely have to check out their stuff then. Been looking for a new wireless router (either N or some uber G router), and need to keep it on somewhat of a budget.

I have had good luck with all the products I have gotten from them. Actually have not had anything fail yet from them and have an assortment of things by them (network cards, wireless routers, switches, etc.)

Does anyone have the TRENDnet TEW-625BRP? Any input on this product? Thank you again guys for all your input.

Just an update, I ended buying this from Fry's. It was on sale for $29.99. This router is awesome. VERY fast, stable, and inexpensive! Some of the reviews I read say it has a very simple interface/option, but it seemed fine to me. It has the same guts as the D-Link DIR-615 apparently. If you do buy it just be sure to update it to the latest firmware.
