Is it me or is the pet pathing a total suckfest? Many times when my pet returns from selling crap, he gets stuck and I have to go retrieve his sorry ass. Enjoying the game other than that. Oh yeah, the person in town that can remove the ember/gem/whatever-they-are-called and destroy the item, when you are done with one item, you get booted out of the interface window and have to do it all over again for another item. Needs to keep you in that window until you are done! (small nitpicking here)
Pretty fun game. Its definitely Diablo 3 junior, but i like it a lot. Not sure how ppl who trolled D3 rave about this game so much, they are virtually identical, except you HAVE to go looking for an MP game. I did prefer the randomness of a pub in d3 or friends just hopping in and out whenever.
That being said, very very fun, ill be tossing tonso hours into torchlight 2.
Has anyone come up with a fist weapon that *isn't* a knuckle-duster with blades slapped on?
What do you want stapped on it? Teddy bears?
Make some suggestions for the graphic on their boards Tuaarita. They actually read them. Make sure you have some ideas on how you would want them to look though. Your statement would get ignored fast without ideas on how you'd like it to be changed.
For one, the loot is actually obtainable to normal players and spread out. Unlike d3 where a normal player was likely to play the entire game and never get a legendary/unique/set item drop.
The game's loot isn't built around an "auction house" and therefore the loot driven nature of the game is far superior to d3's, imo.
Also you have far more control on how to build your character and make them different then other characters of that same class.
pretty minor there. Just pointing out, its 95% the same exact game. You cant take two steps w/o going, oh diablo.
But as i also said, its stupid fun. Just think the ppl who trolled D3 and dont troll this game are LOL.
I'm only a few hours in on veteran with my 17 embermage, when is this game going to scale in difficulty?
I have about 11 unspent points in skills because I havent decided what spells I want. Besides the random my character goes where i dont want her to when i right-click sometimes, I havent had too much trouble.
Also the 3d environment seems to mess with my spells, my spells often clip on random hills and targeting down or up hills is very ineffective.
This game is good. Not as good as D3 in the slightest so far. But still good.
To what end though? Sure, it is nice to get gear playing. At least half the gear I'm wearing in D3 I've got as drops.D3 would be an ok game if I didn't need a Visa Black to get gear. I like my gear actually dropping within the confines of my game play.
put in a heavy chunk of time in MultiPlayer on level 25.

Got to the second area, now my magma spear is simply clipping on sand hills. Clipping on corners i understand, but in a wide open area (2d speaking) a small hill should not be stopping my attacks.
Anyone else getting the whole "I'm trying to right click a spell to attack (ranged attack), but my character just moves there instead" issue? It's kind of annoying when I'm trying to kite something that takes more than 1 hit to kill.
Holy shit, this new age of gamers makes me sad. "Too many stats and too many ways to customize my character makes my brain hurt! I need to be spoon-fed everything!" And who the fuck complains about mods?
Wow. You have to be trolling. If not, you've got to have one of the saddest existences I've ever heard of.

I know I said earlier I didnt have time but I bought it anyway and have played it. I am gettin more of the Diablo 2 type fun here than I ever got in Diablo 3. Great job on the game and for 20 dollars its glad to see Runic keeping it real![]()
Fairly certain that's how it works, it aims the spell to where you point, so if you click on higher ground it'll be aimed upwards. If you aim for lower ground it'll aim downwards, which may hit the land if it gets in the way.I'm only a few hours in on veteran with my 17 embermage, when is this game going to scale in difficulty?

They said they are using steamworks. And the mod stuff should be out in about a month after release date... so like another 3 weeks? Again, with runic, no definite date, just estimations. Is the modding stuff for it out yet? If not, do they have an ETA? Any word on using Steam Workshop?
To what end though? Sure, it is nice to get gear playing. At least half the gear I'm wearing in D3 I've got as drops.
The thing about Torchlight 2, the whole game feels like what is the point? If gear is so easy in a week when you've been level 100 for 3 days what is going to keep you playing? Yea, all this bad ass gear drops so quickly, then what.
Mechanically, I don't like half the stuff in game, and people's answer is going to be it will be fixed by modders. Why should basic things have to be fixed by someone else?
Things are small, it can sometimes be really hard to identify what is a mob and what is just something on the ground. There is no real deliniation, which is probably because the game has an incredibly flat appearance. If you zoom in even a little your field of view starts to take a massive dump.
The map is horrendous. Why can't I move it around to make it easier to see what I have and haven't explored? Why when people in a multiplayer game move around does it not expand my map? If I fall a little behind because I was trying to look at the stuff in my bags it can be a pain to try to catch up to them.
The AI and ability clipping when you are targetting mobs to attack them is awful. Why can I just shoot my pistol and hit something, but then rapid fire clips the wall and doesn't hit it. Why if a mob is above me and completely out of range and I click it will I just stand there and swing my hammer at the wall without a prayer of hitting it.
Honestly, there are too many stats, and I really have no idea what half this stuff does. Do gems that increase electric damage actually increase my damage if I'm just shooting a pistol? Why can't I see what equiping something is going to do to my stats without equiping it?
Why can't I see certain things maintained? Like Engineers get the healing pet, but sometimes it disappears and I can't tell. Sometimes it's just out of range and not hitting me. It gets lost in mobs and I can't tell if it is just retarded and not hitting me, or got killed or something.
