I just put together a new pc and it's doing something funny.
When I turn it on it comes on, turns off after a second and then comes back on. This only happens when I've got everything hooked up. If I take one hd out of the equation it seems ok.
Am I tying to pull too much juice with everything hooked up?

Sounds like something else might be wrong, that should be plenty of power for that system.

Is it only a specific hd that does that?

Unless there's something wrong with that PSU, there should be no problem with it. It is easily capable of providing enough power to handle your entire system and more.

You mentioned it turns off, then back on. Does it stay on after that?

Some of the older boards with the P35 chipset had a "double boot" issue where they would do that, not sure if this was an issue with the P45 as well.

Yeah sounds like the double boot issue to me as well. Still occurs on the P45 chipset but not as much as the P35 chipset. Usually a BIOs update fixes that annoyance.
