Toca Race Driver 3 (pc)

I played the demo, and it was pretty good. I will probably pick up the full version.

The second one was great. I will definitely be getting it for Xbox when it comes out.

It´s the same shit as Toca Race Driver 2. Quantity over quality :(.

Wonder if Codemasters will ever release a good racing game again.

toca 3 is the pc version of gran turismo. this version is gonna have even more gameplay than the 2nd. i cant wait for it to come out. but racing games are my thing...
only $30 for the DVD version. can ne1 complain about that? even if it has starforce?

I was looking forward to Toca 2, until Starforce came along, wish they would have removed it from 3, but oh well. One less customer.

There are some programs that can rid starforce, but I'm not sure what they are all about. I will probably check out the game though.

Honestly Don't See The Big Fuss About Starforce , Never Has Screwed Up My Computer In Any Way Shape Or Form... GT Legends Has It , But No Problems Here! :) I'll Be Picking This Game Up For Sure! 2 Rocked

its out?
thought it wasnt out till tomorrow.
got a link to an etailer with it in stock?

Gamestop says the 22.

I will go out on a limb and assume what he is referrencing.

This is the typical person who complains about starforce the loudest.

And the reason I think this is because I don't run any illegit software and I have never had a problem with starforce.

Picked it up , pretty sweet so far ... 20% into the world tour , has some cool cars to play as an its pretty differnt , graphics are nice , damage is pretty good... ill post some screenies later :)

I'll be completely skipping this game and the demo for the same reason that I didn't even install the demo of X3 (despite looking forward to that game for awhile)...

damn you, starforce.

ps - wtf is up with copy protecting a demo? It seems to be all the rage these days.

Companies have to protect the demo or warez groups can use the demo files to pirate the full game. Which they will anyway, but it at least makes it more difficult for them. ;)

Eh, the only way invasive and damaging copy protection schemes like Starforce will go away is if the customers refuse to support products which contain them. I have no problem with supporting companies and not pirating stuff. I however refuse to support companies that seek to not only remove any semblance of my fair usage rights (I *DO* have the right to back up my game disc in case the original gets damaged) but also use programs that can damage my computer.

I really wish I could play ToCA, maybe I will pick up the Xbox version if it is put on the Backwards compatibility list. I however refuse to support Codemasters on their PC version.

Has anyone actually been able to buy this game in a retail store yet? Gamestop has moved the release date back until the 24th (from the 21st). I'm hoping I can pick it up this weekend.

nope, no luck 8(

multiplayer demo at fileplanet though
should hold me over till the real thing.

I'll be picking this up. :p at starforce people. Half of you will end up buying it or playing it one way or another.

I think GT Legends look much better though demands more hardware as well...

But as for Starforce. The problem is that some get problems with their DVD drives but apart from that there is really no problem with Starforce. It works games using Starforce don´t get cracked. The pirates have to deal with crappy sfclones that is nothing you want in your computer.

What I don´t like is those on-line distributed games that gives you three reactivation codes and no less so if you reformat or upgrade your computer often you may find your license invalid...

My local Babbages shows to have a couple copies of GT Legends in stock. I might pick it up this weekend if Toca is not out by then. I played the demo of GT Legends and really liked it but it was a little hardcore for my tastes. I enjoy realism in games but a twitch too much and the car would go wagging all over the track. Give me a little more arcade handling like Need For Speed Most Wanted.

GT Legends is quite easy actually if you stick with the 65 cars at least and avoid driving the Mustang ;).

I like GTR better but that is definiatly more demanding. GTR 2 is coming in june btw probably going to rock.

i have both Toca 3 & GT Legends...
Both have starforce

Toca 3 , Is little bit more fun has good damage models , some cool cars ... an more of a story mode to it (Like Toca 2)

GT Legends i picked up at Wal-Mart for (19.96$) (DONT BUY IT AT GAMESTOP They want 30$) , its a damn good game , very real feeling , but i find my self playing toca more maybe cause of all the things you can do ? , but if you like hard core sims Buy GT Legends!

I think I'll pick up TOCA 3 for the pc.
I still have the old TOCA2 somewhere. I really liked that game.
TOCA 3 looks like it has a lot of variety to it.
I already have Starforce from GTLegends and no problems so far.
I'm back into driving games. Loving GT Legends so much I bought a second copy for $19.95 at Best Buy and a copy of GTR for $19.95.
Think I''ll finally break down and get a MOMO wheel or the new Thrustmaster wheel being offered in the U.S. at the end of the month

PS,
Got both my online keys for GT Legends through Viva-Media as most North American games were shipped without the keys printed on the back of the manual as they were supposed to be.

Yep! Cant friggin' WAIT for that. GTR is still one of my top racing games :) I hope they add 5.1 sound this time! Also, it really REALLY needs a graphical update....hopefully it'll have HDR and all that junk.

Heh, the Mustang is an evil handling beast but it makes such a nice sound! :p

OT: Not saying anything incriminating, but pirates do NOT have to deal with the starfucker and other methods of starforce circumvention a lot of the time. They bring out no-cd patches all the time and doesn't involve installing starforce.

Yeah you would think people would realize this, that is why we boycott these games. They do nothing to hurt the people actually pirating the games
