As some of you have noticed me lurking about, I am back. I just resumed folding today on two cores (one CPU and one GPU). Not much for now but better than nothing. I doubt I will ever fold as [H]ard as I was earlier in the year but I will do a mild ramp up around Christmas as life is finally stabilizing once again. I am going to try and build three rigs come the first of the year:

i7-920 w/ SLI Fermi Gaming Rig (F@H in the background)
i7-970 Dedicated F@H
LGA775 based Quad Core with 2xATI GPUs (OGR-27 on the CPU and RC5-72 on the GPUs)

Yes, I know this but I am not getting them for Folding. As I wrote, I am getting them for RC5-72 which ATI kicks ass on.
 
Welcome back - glad to see that things are slowly sorting themselves out. Don't worry about the folding - what ever you can contribute is great

not til the coders pull their heads out of their asses and creates a real ati client.. but we have been waiting for that since the start of the gpu2 client..

Yeah, unfortunately I am. Hopefully kasson can work out the bugs as I really didn't want to buy Windows licenses for my dedicated boxen. As many of you know, I'm a Linux geek.

Stay tuned...Linux + Wine + WinSMP may be an option. I'm going to try it tonight.

Unless they changed the app lately, you can't run both the OGR and RC5 programs at the same time.

hmm, you could be correct but I swear I used to run the RC5 CUDA app and the OGR CPU app simultaneously but I could definitely be mistaken. I'll keep it in mind, thanks.

Our FireStream clients also only execute crunchers on the GPU. In order to utilize the CPUs on your computer, you will need to download and run another instance of the standard client from a separate subdirectory.

So it seems perfectly reasonable that I should be able to run the Stream client on RC5 and and the standard CPU client with OGR-27. They'd be two separate installations in different directories not interacting with each other.

Bumped production a bit more last night, now running close to 10K PpD. I decided to see how this OC'd E6400 could handle an A3 WU and the two GPUs at the same time.. better than I expected.

Added another core.. borg'd my dads laptop tonight with a single core process. It's only a T4400 Pentium Dual Core so I figured it'd be good for some of the uni-processor work that is out there. My dad hardly ever uses it but it is always plugged into the wall and on.. meh. Might as well use it to fight the Alzheimers I am sure he, and I, will be afflicted with soon.

well, for some reason I am perma-banned from IRC... not sure why but whatever..

added another classic client borg the other day so I now have a total of six clients running. More coming soon unless my ban from IRC is more indicative of other issues and I am no longer welcome here..
