To wait...?

I'm considering upgrading from 939 to Core in the coming weeks... However, there's some obvious things to take into consideration first, and I thought it would be best to ask you guys.

When are the next most overclocking friendly chipsets coming out, namely, those that support DDR3?

Is there any point in waiting for DDR3? As it seems, currently, there is hardly any performance increase.

Are new Core 2 Duo CPUs coming out? I know there's price drops on July 22nd, but will there be new processors to look into around that time also?

I'm assuming the current graphics cards suffice when it comes to the next year, or so, of gaming -- what with DirectX 10 support and all. But, of course, I could be way off. I've heard whispers of integrated PPUs in upcoming GPUs, but, again, I could be wrong.

So, if anyone could shed some general light on what's coming in the next few months, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

- The P35 and X38 chipsets are overclocking friendly and support DDR3. However the P35 chipsets only offer about a 5% performance increase over the P965 chipset. The X38 is the performance chipset.
- DDR3 won't be worth it till Q2 2008.That's when prices on DDR3 RAM will be cheaper and DDR3 will also be faster.
- Yes there will be new Core 2 Duo CPUs coming out. They'll have a 1333Mhz FSB instead of the current 1066Mhz FSB. Here's a link to a more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Core_2_Duo#Conroe_2
- AMD/ATI is releasing their new mid-range DX10 cards later this month. That should drive down some prices of Nvidia's mid-range DX10 cards. No idea whether or not those ATI mid-range DX10 cards will beat current DX9 cards for the same price. Also, Nvidia is releasing its 8900 series of DX10 cards sometime in the future.
