Anyone using this? If so, do you like it overall, and how hard was it to set up? Even a couple-word reply would help... thanks!

EDIT: I just want it for a basic single-tuner setup using this card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16815117802

to record shows with and watch TV on my Shuttle SN25P. Has anyone used this card with that setup and knows if it fits alongside a 7800GT videocard?

Is the EPG XML hard to setup (I'm in the USA)?

How much hard disk space does the average, high-quality, 1-hour show take up?

Can I setup anything like a 30-second skip or seven-second back button like my normal TiVo has?

Well, after using the app with a no-source-enabled computer with 1 tuner, I have answered two of my questions:

The EPG XML is super-easy to setup.

An xx-second skip/rewind can be set up easily, and ad-removal can be setup automatically as well.

I use gbpvr and like it a lot. I have been using it for about 14 months now.

I cant really comment on the Powercolor card since I use a PVR-350 and PVR-USB2. I would check out the gbpvr forums to make sure its supported.

I have never tried the XML setup, I just use Zap2It

You can fine tune your recordings settings. You can set your bitrate and also whether it uses CBR or VBR. The way you set this part up is kind of confusing though, you have to select 'High', 'Medium' etc and then hit the 'edit' button.

i been using gbpvr for about 4 weeks now with the retail pvr 150 and is very excellent.,doing the set up was a little tricky but once you get it right is better than mce.make sure u use the nvidia decoder as the quality as very good.had made few dvds from the recordings and they look just like regular dvd's.if you do choose to use gbpvr make sure you make a donation to sub as he has created ita wonderful program, from what i have seen gbpvr is ready for prime time.also read the forums a www.gbpvr.com as there is plenty of info in the data base and make sure you use the right hardware unless you enjoy hours of trouble shooting.also get the pvr 150 mce inexpensive and works the same.hope this little info helps you.

I just got a Theater 550 and the only two programs I have found worth trying are GB-PVR and ChrisTV.

They both have ups and downs, but I have been using GB-PVR because its free and a lot more friendly. If you have any problems or questions as I have, the GB-PVR forums are good. Sub puts a lot of time into answering peoples questions. He offers the best support for any program I have used.
