Thats what I thought... I'm still going to buy one though!!
Why? 469 for that? Hahahah. I'd get a 6800U or a XT-PE before that.. That's such a waste.

yeah you really should grab an XT or 6800u or even just a 6800gt for that price, the damn heatsink only costs like $15

I'm so tired of Nvidia users going on to ATI threads and telling people that their opinions are wrong...Anyway the VIVO models have the 16 pipes enabled stock, so all i need to do is a simple bios flash and I have a XTPE.

even if its an XTPE, its not gonna be able to compete with even a GT in doom3.

OMG I dont care if I get 10 fps less in Doom 3 while i'll be at the top or close to it in other games.

ATI FLAVOR means you dont come in here and slang your fanboyism and thread crap

that is bannable

Honestly with the exeption of just a few posts I have on idea WTF your talking about.
Hell I'd think that the thread starter is just just flame baiting where it not for the fact that this is in "ATI flavor."

Isn't that what NV fanboys where saying last round? ;) :D

Personally I think it's pretty damn ugly and needs to cost alittle less but the price is comparable to the X800 without the VIVO so it's all good.

Buy it and mod it into a XTPE is what I'd say. :D

Wow, I must be a NV fan considering I am using a 9800 Pro  I guess having an informed opinion instead means being a fan boy now?

FYI, not all Pro's are 16 pipe, ONLY the Gigabyte model as far as I know. Read the review of the HIS IceQ II PRO VIVO @ Rage3D - only 12 pipes. Given that information and the incredible price of these, I would rather get a GUARENTEED 16 pipe card, be it a XTPE or a GT, or even a 6800u. It's just common sense.

Read -> Comprehend -> Post, people.

You are clueless. Almost all VIVO cards irrespective of brand mod to XT-PE.

But that doesn't mean they come with all 16 pipes enabled like ohgod said. Sir I believe it is you that is clueless. As he said, read -> comprehend -> post.

Wow, I guess you missed the last line of my post, huh?

Considering you are spending 469 dollars, what is the more logical choice given that they are almost the same cost:

A) The card which comes with 16 pipes enabled

or

B) The 12 pipe card which you *MAY* be able to mod to 16 pipes, but it will definitely void your warranty (of course you can always flash back, and who'd know, but some people have problems with this.)

It just doesn't make sense to me. You can purchase whatever you want, however, and good luck to you.

Not all pros are able to have the 16 pipes unlocked but like 98% of the VIVO editions are.
Most VIVO's are just rebadged XTPEs that had the 16 pipes disabled by the bios.
Check the rage3d forums for more information."FYI, not all Pro's are 16 pipe, ONLY the Gigabyte model as far as I know." And all the other VIVO's except for one brand only need a bios flash. And would people please stop posting in this thread saying that my opinion on what I want to buy is wrong.

Then don't make a thread about it.
So far I haven't seen anyone say your opinion is wrong or stupid, all I've seen is people that suggest something else (stupidly I might add).

Seriously what do you want? Did you just want other ATI users to drool over the ugly card too? I see alot of people on this board that need to grow up. ;)

Personally I wouldn't waste my time nor my money on it, instead I'd maybe go NV but I really like this ATI X800 too (notice thats it's also VIVO)

Well considering the success rate is nearly 100% I'd say its well worth buying the VIVO over a GT and modding to XT-PE. Guess you dimwits that bought GTs probably regret it wishing you did the same and now you're trying to discourage others.

I wouldnt hold your breath :p most of them are heavily involved in a communal Jerk sessions over the 6800GT having SmoothMarketing3 And getting a whole 2.8FPS faster in Doom3
Just buy the X800Vivo IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT?

That is what I want, and people, after asking politely, are still saying people should buy a 6800GT.

No need to insult people about what they bought youd be no better than the 6800 series users....

Who cares, he likes it. Ultimately it is his decision. You know like cars, some people like the Aztec or the element and some people like me thinks they look/perform like crap.

I try like hell to avoid the "vid.card battle" threads, but that comment deserves affirmation ! :p
Especially the "look like crap" part ! But to each his own :D
