Looking at this PSU Will I be ok if I go SLI down the road ? 2-3 years

Also this Memory

Either way I am pulling the trigger on the rest of my build by the end of the 1st week of August.

I just want to have some extra input before I pull the trigger on these last items.
The GPU's are still a big ? for me..I just can not pick..
PSU im just looking for a confirm that it is a good PSU...might be on edge if I ever go SLI(not sure I will ever go another $600+ for a card in the near future)

well, I know alot of folks that do not use SLI anymore inluding one that was completely adamant about "needing" it for best performance. He runs a 2560x1600 monitor, and he says all his games play fine., thats with a single asus 680 stock.

the lightning vs the FTW one, well, if you do not crank the AA and AF in your games as high as they go, probably will not make much of a difference, I personally would go the lightning, though the FTW cards have always been good apprently.

PSU wise, that will be fine, especially for single card use, and maybe even dual card(if you decide you need to) There are alot of really good power supplies out there these days, lots to choose from, if you have at least 60a on the 12v from at least a silver rated power supply from a good maker (seasonic, Corsair, XFX, some rosewill, superflower made or maker etc) you will be fine.

For ram wise, I would get at least 1600 speed ram that has XMP, that Gskill ram you link is 1333, get the 1600 kit and set the XMP. That is a real good set, I have the GBXL 1866 in an AMD build, 3 buddies have GBRL, GBSR, GBSM and they all work very well for overclocking and declocking as well.

I would again, different higher speed ram(1600 is the sweet spot for gaming, overclocking etc make sure its at least 8gb) the lightning card, and that psu or similar corsair HX750, XFX 750 etc. Don`t forget, Nvidia cards rely quite alot on the cpu base clock, so by upping the base cpu, it will affect the performance overall including gpu given performance, so its actually a benefit to go with the higher clocked card to begin with.

I would hit some review sites that look at both those cards, see what they say, temps, noise, performance, overclocking, memory usage etc. To me the lightning seems a better deal in one aspect, though for an extra 2gb of memory at like what $~25 is well worth it, not to mention the 680s are quite fast to begin with :)

Both the RAM and PSU are good choices. If you can afford it, I'd go for the GTX 680 4GB.

Dam....Lightning just went on SALE $569.00 w/ a free game NBA ($30.00) wish they would add it to the discount if i do not want the game.

Well, Pulled the Trigger on all but the Video card....
Got the PSU for $159 - $24 promo code = $135..Not bad at all for a great 750W PSU.
I also got the M4-256SSD w/ tray for $189...I know I could have gotten one w/out the mount Tray for 10 bucks less....

I waited on the GPU due to the fact I am out of town this whole week........parts are going to be sitt'n out until buddy comes by on wednesday...Sure hope it does not RAIN :(
