According to the "Real Age" thread I may be the oldest freakin' folder here ! But , you know, as a person gets older, they need a little help..... So would any of you young , able bodied folk be willing to borg one for me ??? Cmon, Mary ??, Tormond ??, you guys are charging hard... surely you could help out an old man..... :D


 
Well I thought Tormond was old too, but now I'm just confused cuz he's got an SLI setup in his sig.

Ohh well, he'll just always be old in my book. And yea, I'm too lazy to go look him up in the thread.
 
Hehe I am only 35 :) I couldn't post in the thread as it was locked by the time I got to it.

 
Well, Marty is pretty much an "old soul" type, so I guess you are off the hook as long as you pass on all your wisdom.... As for Tormond, you blew the doors off of my little farm as you passed me , so you gotta keep on cranking !

You won't get any help or pity from me. I don't have much but I'm getting my ass handed to me daily lately up in the 160-170 range. I have a feeling I won't be moving up much anymore without adding a few more good rigs which I don't have the money for.

I have probably passed at least ten people in the past couple of weeks (which isn't easy to do up around my way sometimes) but I haven't hardly picked up any spots because of people just blowing my doors off.

I think I'm going to have to go back to looking for change in vending machines. That way I might be able to save up enough money to buy a power supply and possibly get a couple of crappers running. It won't be much but every little bit counts when your getting smashed flat all the time.

 
Well, I guess I'm an old guy too. And I just passed Old Smokey yesterday :waves: If you need a PSU or two, I've got a couple of the cheap ones sitting around. About 250 watts, free just pay for shipping.

If I can find some money I'll probably take you up on that. The crappers aren't much so they don't need much. One is a PIII 500 and the other is a Celeron 633. I'm not even sure if the Celeron works since I just found it laying around at my friend's house and I haven't checked it out yet. I do know the PIII 500 works, though and I should have some PC 100 for it this weekend.

I am still 15 at heart :) My wife asks me every week "Well what new toys did you buy this week?" and I usually have something to talk to her about.

 
Hah ! Tormond, you must be living right --- I've been folding (laundry, towels, etc) for 29 years now & get the same question !! I've been trying to explain that I should not have to physically fold anymore since I can do it on my computers .... (and hers too !) but the argument isn't making any headway yet. I seem destined to fold.....

Idaho Falls, I used to live there. Then I was in washington. Now, Hawaii. Still waiting for my farm to get here (looking like early Sept). For now 190's, and falling slowly.

Lemme see how bored I get at work this week. Worst part for me is to change the configs, I need to remote desktop into them one by one.
