This is wierd.Is it normal.

Last night I turned my computer off and the PSU started making some strange noises.I don't know how to explain this.It started very low like almost inaudible and progressed uniformly to a high pitch noise. Just like the noise before an explosion. Then I unplugged the cable, pgged it back in and the fan started spinning.

Are you absolutely sure that it was the PSU?
Did the fan turn on even though the system was off?
