Intel 386SX system I purchased back in 1991 or 1992 when I was in college was $4,500. The DX if I remember correctly was nearly a grand more. You know back when AMD was a blip on Intel's arse. You're seem pretty smart. What would that cost today taking inflation into consideration?

And what does 2003 pricing have to do with 1991 pricing? My roommate in 1992 had a NextStep that cost $19,000+ before tax. Computers weren't luxury items when I was in college. Either you had one in your dorm or you went to pray for a open spot in the computer lab. If you didn't do your work on it you failed as all of your classwork was on it. You know. Kinda like today.

I linked it not because I was trying to get you to trust his review. I linked it so that you could get a different take on what AMD FX 8000 series owners have been trying to get through to others. The chips aren't as bad as made out to be when you use them to do really fun things such as playing games and streaming to Twitch.tv. It's a real fun hobby and my AMD chip is excellent with it as the streaming app's load on my CPU is negligible. My friend's Intel chip 3570 has a pretty decent drop in frame rate but my AMD laughs at it.

Of course the Intel starts out with a little bit faster frames when just gaming. But when I want to multitask my AMD doesn't bat an eyelash. Intel users that I game with talk of "I should have gotten a 6 core instead of this 3570K" when I start discussing streaming with them. My stream looks just as good as their stream, isn't choppy, runs great, and no problems. I can't ask for much more than satisfaction can I?

Or are the AMD users wrong yet again?

I have a logitech one. Does both Direct Input (legacy controllers) and xInput (xbox) and has the same shape/layout as playstation controller which I prefer over xbox gamepad

I'm actually going to court this month about it again. Every time I go it costs the thieves $500 - $1,000 dollars to stay out of jail. Cost of court, lawyer fees, etc. That's about the going rate for a decent Intel processor that will beat the 8350 right? Got to bring the train back to the track for a moment. Hehe.

Back on Topic...

The video TEK did was good, but they left out quite a lot. They did state that Intel was a "few" frames faster in BF3 & a few other titles. If TEK is going to use 2011 against it, throw the i7 3930K at it and compare. I want to see some 6-core benchmarks along with that productivity video they are working on.

In the $200 range, I would really be looking at AMD, but remember the high end i7 2011 sockets I thought had two locked cores that Intel did. 2011 i7 line is a 8-core processor locked down to 6-core, which TEK stated as well.

edit: Also I am really curious why KYLE and the other haven't done a review on the AMD 8350? Unless that is currently in the works perhaps or I missed it?

Wonder if KYLE would even feel the need to bother with different game titles, but is sounds like his opinion on the matter is clear. AMD just doesn't stack up against Intel when you factor in Overclocking, but at stock speeds...hey we can argue about who is better.
