I plan to build a new WC setup around a CM Stacker. The systems specs will be as follows:
AMD 3700+ San Diego
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
2xXFX 7800GTX
4x51MB Crucial Ballistix
All of this will surely be overclocked, so there will be alot of heat in this loop. Below is a picture of the setup I had in mind, but my biggest fear is the pump won't be able to power through it all.
CPU Block = Swiftech Storm G4
GPU = 2x Maze4 Low Profile
Bottem Rad = Black Ice Micro II (spare ive got lying around)
Front Rad = Black Ice Xtreme II
Res = Any 5.25 res
Pump = Laing D5
The flow should work fine, thats my issue. What I am wondering though, is if that pump will be able to get through all that. I had concidered an Iwaki pump, but I would rather not get one. Its not for the money, as much as it is the appearnce, and the work to get the right fittings. I woudl rather have a pump made to WC. Thats the same reason I am going with the rads over a heatercore...I don't want the hassle of getting the right fittings, and I am a stickler about the comestic look of my PC. With it costing as much as it will, i want it to look nice. If that pump wouldn't be up to that full loop, would it work to just use two of them? Shurly the stackers got enough room for both, but I don't want to get two if its just going to be overkill.
Thoughts?
EDIT: I also had a second idea, but space could be tough. Being that I may need two pumps anyways, and a 2nd res would be nothing, would it be smarter to create two seperate loops? The other problem here is that I am now down to like 2 5.25 bays if I do that, and being that I have two CD-Roms, 2 HD's, and a floppy (can do without) to mount, that woudlnt work. Here is the idea I had though. I have seen people stack the 3 to 4 HD cage at the bottem of the case, and set the pump on top of it. How would it work to have 3.15 res's in that? Would it mess with flow to have the res so low/?
