Hey is the Thermaltake TR2 600W power supply good enough for my 4850 now and maybe a future 460GTX?

Also, do you think the 500W would suffice?

What's the rest of your hardware? Are you looking to buy a PSU, or is this something you already have?

I have an E6550, MSI P35 platinum, Crucial 2gig, sapphire 4850, my current PSU is a Cooler Master eXtreme power plus 500W, which seems to not be able to power my 4850 so I have to use my old X1900XT as of now. (By power I mean, when it goes to windows I only get a blank screen)

I'm sorry to say this, but the TR2 600W is almost as craptastic as your current CM 500W. This is because the non-RX TR2 series of PSUs are now all made by HEC - one of the companies who make mostly shitty PSUs.

Theres a PurePower Thermaltake but its only 500W? Or can you recommend any PSU around the 50-70$ range.

The PurePower 500W is not much better: It is based on an older CWT design that had already been a bit outdated at the time it was introduced.

If you must buy a Thermaltake PSU, the only line that's worth considering at all for a modern system is a ToughPower XT model (not the buggy new Toughpower Grand models for now). But the least expensive of those models cost more than your maximum budget limit.

Also, are you willing to order the new PSU online? If yes, which vendor? Or must you purchase a PSU locally (from a brick-and-mortar store)?

I don't care about Thermaltake, they just sound reliable.

I don't mind where I get the PSU from.

I recommend this PSU then:
$70 - Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W PSU
