my face hurts a little and is red, but that is a lesson i'll never forget especially if my pc got ruined.

whats in your loop first? if its not too much you could get away with a CPX-Pro, but the MCP655 aka. D5 (not the MCP655-B or aka D5 fixed) for hasle free pumps, there is others but those 2 are good and reliable with no extra expenses ;)

the loop is fairly simple, just cooling my 9850 phenom, next will be my 4870 512(when i can afford and find a block for it).the MCP355 looks nice, think i'll go with that.ty for the responses.Anyone know the best sequence for the water flow.

Mine has worked fine for more than 2+ years. Tone your comments down and provide some rational for your opinions. The 745 kit is excellent for the money, others not so much.

Rational? how about the many customers of TT that have fried hardware because of TT?!
you get what you pay for, and TT is cheap and nasty, im not gonna sugar coat it.
I dont care if you are a Mod or not, TT has poor QC and is known for failing, cracked blocks and pumps failing were common in and around the 745i era, so consider yourself lucky to not have it happen to you ;)

The reservoir should be placed before the pump, remaining component order is not that important, since we are discussing a closed loop.

Layout your loop in a way that works to minimize tubing runs...:D

I dont know how may customers of TT have fired hardware, do you ? How many exactly ? Can you proivde links to more Tt pump failures than say a MCP pump or DCC pump ? Return and/or warranty repair statistics ?

I too dislike most Tt stuff but that is not the point !!!!!!!!

The issue is blanket statements bashing something without at least some kind of backup so a reasonable debate has the possibility of taking place.. For example below is a post that kinda makes my point for me, lots of "opinions" on the web but without facts thats all they are and that is fine if they are presented so they can be discussed. The post in reply to mine where you cite cracked blocks and poor QC is exactly what I am talking about. That is great !!! Excellent !!! Now we know why you have the opinion you do. Had that comment been included in the original post there would not have been any issue. I happen to agree with you 80%. There was no luck involved with my Tt kit, I knew enough to use a spring loaded block hold down instead of the stock crap hardware - most noobs would not know that. And that is why this forum is here and the point is to share that tidbit so someone, if knowing your opinion and knowing my information can then look at product X fully informed and make a good decision based on their needs/wants/budget. Its real damn easy to make a shopping list of the best of everything, paying for it for most people is not so easy.

Just an example of reality and "web reality" and how they can differ in perception:

No matter what I do people will think this is about Tt /sigh, all I can say, over and over and over, its not about Tt. All the forum is asking (and I most certainly have run this by the other mods, and being a mod here is no great prize let me tell you, the Admins have the power, we just shovel the .... whatever :D and we can not complain bout the pay cause there is none. ) is help in making this a place where good information is shared and civil debates are encouraged. General Mayhem is for popping off without having to back it up. The goal here is not to suppress opinions but to have the best most helpful to the community, factual WCing forum there is. We want to be the bestest. Thats all it is about and I ask your help in making it so.

To the OP, I apologize for needing to put this in your thread.

Be sure to send that pump back for warranty repair. In my experince with 2 so far, they are much noisier that typical and I would not use one without the included RMP monitoring enabled which may or may not be possible in all applications. It is unfortunate it failed but maybe get it fixed if the postage is not too bad and toss it in the drawer as an emergency spare.
