ThermalTake LANBOY is . . .

Still no mention of SG02, but there's a new mATX mini tower, but I think it's ugly.
 
Aside from the'different' handle on top and different 'front panel'.
It's just a Silverstone SG01 series chasis. 'oem'ed for ThermalTake

The front page bottmom left links to their 'new' oem page.
It's just confirming it's a silverstone original manufacture.

It's still a SG01 chasis.
I wonder what the minimum is.

Silver stone also releases the new 'mobile on desktop solutions case.

aside from this thread being totally out there...the thermaltake Lanbox may not be an OEM from Silverstone. The case is much different and Asian manufactorers copy designs all the time. Just look at the Qpack....the people that make the Micro Fly is different from the people that make the Qpack and is different from the other Micro Fly knock-offs (no, Chenming doesn't make all three). I will check up on it but don't be surprised if it is just a stolen design :)

Others also seem to feel that it's just a re-branding, to the point of using the same "fonts".
Wasn't 'Coolermaster' at one time rebranding Silverstone specialised OEM's.
I'm sure there was an article I read some while back.

In anycase, until this case is out and in someones hands, we don't know.

Actually if you just do a bit of looking around on the internet you'll find plenty of pictures of the inside of the case. About the only thing the Thermaltake case shares with the silverstone is the outside body frame, the insides are completely different.

Yes, opinions can be made but the fact is, even from the link you provided, its pretty obvious that the insides of the case, from the layout to the design, are very different from the SG01. Also please note these are not the only pictures out there on the Lanbox. Do a little more digging, other than just the casual google search, and you'll turn up more.

of the chasis and I'll throw you a cookie.
If you are right, then you are right.
But right now, i see no 'drastic' changes to the internals.
I've seen many many pics of this case, but none clearly showing the internal layout..
 
even if it were exactly the same this wouldn't make it made by Silverstone...

In fact, it is not made by Silverstone. I just got confirmation of this.

The point of the matter is that I don't even have to post any links because the evidence is already staring you in the face from the link you posted earlier. Now onto the changes that you've obviously either failed to notice or did not want to notice. The first one is that the top drive bay is 7in and not your standard 5 1/4, which means that bracket that you see inside the case must be able to accommodate a 7in driven unit (the motorized screen). Now due to this bracket, I'm guessing here, it allowed them to mount that 3 1/2 drive bay vertically. Secondly notice how the SG01 has the fan on the side of the case where the HD's would normally be? Its obviously missing as Tt has some how managed to still mount the HD's there but has the intake fan in the front. As for the third reason notice that the metal fan bracket found in the SG01 is non-existent along with the fact that the top exhaust vent has been moved to be precisely overtop of the PS. While this may not seem like a big thing to you it is definitely a huge added bonus for those of us who have PS's with the large 120mm intake fan on the PS, as it can simply draw air from outside of the case. Now that right there easily constitute major changes to a case as I'm sure the entire inner front was no easy feat. Now where is my glass of milk?

haha, I can't get Thermaltake to sent me advertisements much less a release date. Some companies just don't like dealing with the customers and that is a shame. I honestly think much more highly of a product if the reps are willing to reach out...a good example is Ultra Products. Jon from Ultra is always talking and getting feedback. It works well and hopefully people look at that when considering one of their products. Perhaps talking to customers can avoid things like not having a video card fitting problem or having a case where the handles aren't really handles.

Ya know ;)
