The Witcher - 1.3 Patch Released

I bought the game, installed it and didn't play it, then lost the disc when I now want to play it :(. Time to go find it! :)

Damnit, I really need to play this game. It sounds fantastic and the demo is a lot of fun. I haven't picked it up yet, and I think at this point it's worth waiting another month for the extended edition.

I'm confused what else is there thats not in this patch? Outside of the extra in box goodies is there any reason for someone who has the original to pick the new one up? I picked up the uncut version off gogamer a few months back but before I could really dig into it my PSU died and I'm working on gutting/rebuilding (should be done this week) so I'm wondering if it might be worth it to just wait on the next big "uber patch" or not.

Also will this "Uber" version come out in the US uncut or will it be like the earlier release? If there is extra game content and a soundtrack or something I'd almost be tempted to get it as what I did get to play of the game (first chapter or 2) was great and the combat was smooth.

The new retail version will be $50 again is my guess. Those already with the game, download the total upgrade for free.

Excellent news, I can't wait to try out The Price of Neutrality addon adventure. 2 hours more gameplay. Further superb support from CD Projeck.

If I install this patch must I start the game over from the beginning?
To avoid problems, it's seems so.
WARNING! The Witcher 1.3 Module Edition is only partially compatible with saved games from previous versions (1.0, 1.1a, 1.2). Loading older saved games is still possible but may lead to unexpected behavior and other problems.
The players are advised to restart the game from the beginning using The Witcher 1.3 Module Edition.

I keep getting almost as far as chapter 3... I think I'll just hold off until the Enhanced Edition comes out and start from the beginning.

And to be clear, the Enhanced Edition will be absolutely free as a download to those that already own the game.
