Easy, we fold any which way we can. Doing origami keeps us off the computers so cycles aren't wasted on browsing and the like so the CPU and GPU clients get all the processing power.
By the way, I have a couple loads of laundry that need to be folded. Anyone want to help?

Hey SmokeRngs that's one good "spin" you have there on the "orgami" thing. Thanks for clarifying it for us "slow on the up take" individuals (I didn't exactly understand it either, d'oh)
On the laundry deal, bein' a batchlor, I just figure "why fold something you're gonna' unfold to wear anyway" (only kiddin'
) I ain't the greatest clothes folder, but I've got big drawers (wooden kind) to put unevenly folded clothes in FOLD ON
Why fold your shirts when you can just lay them over a chair or something and grab the top one each day. I haven't quite taken the folding addiction farther than computers and cats.
Actually, I don't normally fold my t-shirts or hang them up. I'm too lazy to do so and they get wrinkled a bit if I fold them so I do just hang them over a chair and grab the one on top. All my other shirts get put on hangers and put in the closet.

They wont have a chance - they were able to increse PPD faster because its winter in Australia and summer in USA + EU
Why would you have to wait until winter to fold? I was still folding when the A/C in my house went out. I built the cooling system on my case well. The badass fan that came out of an old server is the main reason though. It's a tad noisy, but it blows like a 2 dollar whore at a bus terminal.
If you have a few boxen and no AC (and it's 90 outside), I know my study will go over 100 ambient. Some of these GPU put out crazy heat. I just got a 9800GX2 and there is no way I'm letting that out of the basement before November.

I (and many others) have always tied to help optimize hardware to get the most out of it.....
But if that means tweeking your socket A to get an extra 50 ppdand it gets you up to 300 ppd it's worth it.
Every WU is another step in the right direction. If it took 2 hours to fold in a high end GPU or 2 weeks to fold on an old machine.
