I just got this baby in today, at first I was amazed how small the box was compared to the MOMO and Microsoft wheels.

If you are a race sim fan you MUST BUY ONE NOW!!! I absolutely love it. You can adjust the amount of degrees the wheel can turn to match the car your driving in game, the force feedback is amazing, just everything about it is pefect... except for the reverse gear.(you have to push the knob down and drop it into 6th).

If you have 300 bucks right now don't think twice!

Here are some seksie pics:

My old MOMO is now going to be retired. :D

Wheels in the price range don't get any better than this. Logitech did an amazing job.

I'd say $300 too much...but again, that's just me.

Where did you get the monitor stand?

Staples, it's made by Fellowes.

wow, thats nice as hell. I like the seperated shifter/wheel, makes for alot of options. I'll be getting this setup when NFS Carbon comes out!!!

Looks pretty sweet. THe Driving Force Pro was about $250 when it first came out and it didnt have a seperate feature and lacked a clutch. So for $300 I think its a good deal.

As long as the peadals dont suck as bad as the DFPs(Ive had to replace mine twice in two years!), the wheel is quieter when in motion, and also is faster with the force feedback, then it will be a $300 well spent!

I hope to pick one up in the next month, then maybe sell my DFP if it performs well :)

For the reverse, some VWs have that feature. YOu have to put it in neutral, then push the shifter down then into where first usually is to get to reverse. Its the weirdest feeling!

And lastly, where did you purchase your wheel? None on eBay or NewEgg yet.

So this thing has native 900 degree support in Toca 3 and Trackmania out of the box?

Yeah I know, I was going to finish painting but then the G25 came in... :D

I bought the wheel at Dell, I think it is still in stock there.

Motley, don't use this wheel for NFS! It's a sim wheel.

kuyaglen, it goes a full 900 degrees right out of the box. I havn't tried those games though. Just GTR 2, GTL, and Live For Speed.

Err, it was 150 MSRP...and I paid 105 with shipping at Amazon.

oh wow, very nice setup. If I ever get back to serious gaming, would have to pick that mofo up. I am jelaous :D

wow, very nice setup, might have to get back into racing sims again

i want one !!

what site is selling these now ?

i will order on the spot !

also can this hook up to xbox/ps2 also !!

What games even use all that? I don't know of many. A few that will use a wheel and pedals but a stick and a clutch? I don't know of a single one. Just never seemed like racing seems where a big market on the PC.

I did buy a wheel and pedals for Motor City Online before it was cancelled. That was fun.

GTR2, GT Legends, Live For Speed. Any big racing sim for that matter. You won't find those kind of options in arcade games like Need For Speed.

That RFactor on the screen btw? It looks like it.

It's GTR2, with me in a Porsche GT3-RS. :)

Live for Speed
Grand Prix Legends
GTR
GTR2
GTL
A lot of Collin Mcrae and Richard Burns rally games
rFactor

Theres a lot out there, most arent really mainstream but have a huge fan base online. Check out www.racesimcentral.com

And MCO was a fun game indeed! I loved that game so much :D

^ Too bad you are still in the dark ages of racing sims and dont realize that GT4 and Forza are pure ARCADE games! :)

I just cancelled my order through Dell. Their small business has the wheel for $269 and eBay has Dell small business accessories 20% off coupons so the wheel would end up being $257 shipped! Not bad at all :)

to bad there are no games out to warrent that....maybe if Forza 2 or GT5 came out on PC

If you consider the GT series as your simulation benchmark, you are missing a lot. You should try GTR2 demo to get the idea of a real simulation.

looks cool man, not my thing, but hey if i had infinite funds id get it eheh

that is just so SWEET. but i will hold out until it gets to the $150 territory (which you know it will sooner or later)

For the original poster, how loud is the wheel? My DFP is too loud to play at night when my roommate is sleeping. Unless I change the rotation to something like 270* :(

I've tried GTR2 and I have GTR1....no matter what, no game ever feels real IMO. Fine...its a lot more focused than GT4, but cars don't handle like they should in either game. I think GT4 is a lot more fun though.

Wow this was scary

Are you my unknown internet twin Bop?

Racing GTR the same keyboard I am having a G25 on preorder. Have the same Stacker case. Also have a flightsim joystick though a Saitek one and have the same Razer Exactmat. Don´t tell me you are using a Razer mouse as well ;)

Do have a MOMO Force and DFP but no MOMO Racing though ;)

Not 100 % real they will never be what they are light years ahead of how the GT 4 cars behave :)

GTR had to little low speed grip and tons have happened with the tires lately so I do think GTR 2 is about as close as you get with sims out today... That or NetKarPro

There is a Napmod for GTR 2 to make it less forgiving though haven´t tried that one.

autosimsport.net download the latest issue (free) and it´s included. Read in the magazine on what it does :)

IMO I think LFS "feels" the most realistic. Some note that the cars fell too loose, which they may depending on the setup. But if your driving the Sauber F1 or any GT car with slicks, the traction is just right.

I agree though, something with GTR2 doesnt feel right(Ive only played the demo so far), theres just too much grip.

Autosimsport had a comparison between the ISI BMW F1 and the LFS and the ISI was clearly superior.

LFS had better traction control though :)

I have to say I bought the MOMO about a year ago and it's the biggest waste of money I've spent, it feels so fragile, it always shivvers and such, and the forcefeedback is absoloutly horrible!

But about the picture: heh, I have the same problem, I either have to put my wheel on the side of the desk to play (hard to see the screen so I don't bother) or move the keyboard and mouse outta the way.. which is a no no for me because FPS is a lot more important to me than racing =/

^ I do recal my old Momo force(red base) had a lot of that shudder. If I just was driving in a straight line and let go of the wheel, the FF would jerk the wheel back and forth. That never happened on my driving force pro, but the DFP FF seems way too slow and its by far too loud!

Yah, only car I use tractino control is the Sauber as its way to powerful for any human do drive at wide open throttle! At least when cornering, not so much in a straight line. The traction control sounds cool in the Sauber since its an ignition cut :)

Ive always wondered how well those work! Id love to be able to move my head and see whats beside me without pressing a button. Would make for awesome 3-screen setups!

So I take it you like the TrackIR, what version do you have? And dont you have to stick something to your head(or hat or helmet)? If so what do you use?
