The [H]ardForum Perpetual Freebies Thread

Anybody have some pc3200 ddr ram? Thought I had some but now that I think about it I think I included it when I sent someone a pentium 4 cpu. Anyways now I am in need if anybody has some laying around.
Let me look but I'm virtually certain I have a fuckton of DDR-400 modules I'll never use... Just be aware most of them are JEDEC specced OEM pulls so don't expect anything fancy, but it'll get you going at least. PM me if I don't chime in within the next day or so. Really busy so the possibility of forgetting is a non-zero sum.

I’m looking for a 6 to 8 pin(6+2) PCI-E cable for an old Corsair HX620 PSI.

Anyone have something in their stash before I have to hit up eBay?

I have cable for Corsair HX850 first gen. Not sure if its compatible with yours.

Anyone happen to have one of the following CPUs?

Preferably an i7-2600S, Xeon E3-1260L, or any of the 4/8 core CPUs (in that preference order)?

Also looking for 2x8GB DDR3. Can be 1333 or 1600

I believe the power supply in one of my legacy Dells died after driving a q9550 equivalent xeon in 80F for a few years, so if you've got a spare that fits their GX280/320 series of towers that look like this, I could probably use it. (I think I've got some spares already, but not 100% sure because I would have swapped it by now and haven't.):

Thank you! Makes it a lot easier since kvms can be all over the place cabling-wise. (y) I'm assuming that last one is one of those 2-port kvms with the built-in cables, right?

Do you have a part number? These look like laptop bricks.

The last ones (Belkin) are just integrated into one cable vs 3 separate cables. standard kvm setup. vga mouse kbd.

Both. Most were for dell micro pc’s but I can’t be sure there aren’t a couple laptop bricks in there.
This is what I have available:
3x Dell 0RT74M gone
Dell 06KXKH gone

2x Dell 0MGJN9
Dell 00285K
Dell 0G4X7T
Generic Dell 130W SK90B195667

I possibly have the Corsair HX650W PCI-E cable (6 to 8 pin). I already reached out to Talon and he doesn't need it anymore, he got a new PSU. But here is what mine looks like:
Talon's original request that he no longer needs: https://hardforum.com/threads/the-h-ardforum-perpetual-freebies-thread.1275498/post-1046074526

Compare to old review photos of the connector in these two reviews below. It has the print "PCI-E" on the connector.

If you have any other power supply cable around that fits it, and are 100% certain of your psu model, as well as the donor cable's psu model...You could compare pin out diagrams for each and see if they match. If they do, and the gauge of cable is the same, could use it. If the pinout diagrams don't match, you could always extract said pins and rearrange for the proper pinout on the cable. Although I would only recommend this if you are confident with such, and also ensure the gauge of cable is the same for ease of mind.

I recently ordered a JST XH crimping tool, I'm not sure if it supports the pins in a power supply. I also ordered some 18awg wiring. I would like to be able to make my own cables.

just a heads up, even the best cloned jst crimping tool does not do a great job crimping. make sure you get an excess of crimps (they are cheap on digikey/mouser, $5 for 100) to practice crimping. I went through 3 iwiss/aliexpress/amazon clone crimpers. There is a reason why the real jst crimping tools are like $300-500. No two clone crimping tools have the same dies. I had one clone crimper ship with a cracked die. completely useless!

yeah I have a feeling this JST crimping thing is gonna be a bigger bitch than crimping other types of connectors.

I have 3 Laptop hard drives out for grabs. Low power on hours on each. Not sure if its even worth the shipping, if interested, PM me your zipcode and I'll send a postage estimate.

Anyone have >= 240GB SATA M2 drives?
The only ones I have on hand are 2TB, which is comically large for the intended applications.

Have :
120/128/240/250/256GB 2.5" SATA SSDs (Samsung, Kingston, maybe some Intel/Microns)
Lots of 4GB DDR3-1600 SODIMMs
Lots of 2GB DDR3-1333 ECC DIMMs
*space reserved for stuff I do not remember off hand*

Updates :
- picked up 2x 256GB PM871b drives on eBay
- all SATA SSDs gone to the [ H ]orde
- still have lots of 4GB DDR3 SODIMMs (1066, 1333, 1600, 1600L)
- still have lots of 2GB DDR3-1333 ECC DIMMs
