It makes no sense to me why SyFy cancelled the show. These cool original shows are why I watch SyFy. If they don't have those types of shows and just play reruns, I'm not tuning in.
This show makes Battlestar Galactica seem like a show for 15 year olds, Star Trek for 10 year old, and Star Wars for 5 year olds.
Sure, you could live underground and wear protective suits above. But then why settle there over anywhere else in the Solar System? Would self sufficiency or profit even be possible?
Having not read the books I think most of them are nailing it. It is currently the best show on television. And, dare I say it. Better than Firefly. Might even reach Babylon 5 in timeI read the books (actually, listened, got the audiobooks) while waiting for this season to start and found them very entertaining. At least if the show ended, we had the source material. I was so waiting to see what they did with the belter who was the first to shoot the ring and I was not disappointed.
Does anyone else think the actor portaying Amos is totally nailing it?
Wish they'd pickup Killjoys too. SyFy ditched that last year

I must be really weird then... lmaoIt's because space sci-fi fans can't be painted with the same brush. I couldn't stand any of Stargate shows. I feel that Firefly was grossly over-rated. I once loved Babylon 5 but despise it now. I can't bear any of the Clone Wars or Rebel cartoons. I think Deep Space Nine, Battlestar and The Man in the High Castle were the pinnacles of sci-fi TV before The Expanse came along. And I still think The Orville is a confused, nostalgic, annoying yet endearing show. (just like Star Trek Discovery)
But I also feel the reason a lot don't get The Expanse is that it's plausible. The show spends a lot of effort trying to get the science right- and that heart is simply lost on the lightsaber/warp drive crowd.
I've been interested in this one but went for The 100 instead. Once I am done with that (which I do like for all its faults) I will be watching The Expanse.
Does Amazon do it the Netflix way where they release all episodes of a season day 1 or do we have to wait 3 or so months for all the episodes to come out? I hate that crap. I prefer to watch 2-3 episodes a night if possible back to back.
