EU Circle Jerk Now In-session!

Wouldn't it just be simpler for them to completely cut off aces to the internet outside the confines of the EU?
Cloud what is happening is a way to kill discussion on a topic. Blantantly censoring in the classical sense of the word would get too much negative support. 'Protecting Copyright' to a normy sounds harmless eventhough the point it to stop 99.9% of discussion.

I was trying to point out that contrary to some crazy nut-job theories that this is some sort of evil left-ist theory, this law is based on good old fashion lobby/business interests.

Memes are consistently associated with the "alt-right." I think everybody can agree that what we call "left" in the U.S. would be "center" (at best) in the EU. You're right that in this case it seems to be business-oriented, which is of course associated with being right-leaning in the U.S., but equating that to the EU is no different than saying "left" is the same in both locations. It's pretty clear with how the EU pushes back against U.S.-based corporations that they are protectionist and "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" in terms of oppression being useful to both sides of the aisle. So, no, it's not some "evil leftist" policy but neither is it the business lobby alone - just look at the Pepe lawsuit (or for that matter and for example, PewDiePie's consistent copyright woes) to see how it's ostensibly about money but ultimately hurts the right more than the left. It's not just corporate over the people, it's government over the people, since in socialist governments there is more and more overlap.

What do you mean "What's that?"? Its 5 o'clock: Time for the daily human hunt.

Am I doing this right? Couldn't find a youtube video that's short enough

highly doubt that's why...
the part that got edited out of someone quoting me covered the parts where I listed what trump was doing right :) you might not want to believe it but that is the case.

It passed the EU vote today. Free speech on the internet is about to be deleted.

It's been the goal.

the mods here would not ban you for backing trump. you proabably insulted someone. I was once banned for this: someone questioned my ability to speel(intentional misspellings like aboot) and I responded that I can spell fine and spelled out douche bag. that was deemed a direct insult. I didn't think so but the mods did. oh well.
nop :)

Awwww have the natives been making funny Memes of their local and favorite political leaders? Sounds to me like a bunch of out of reality twats have gotten their panties in a bunch cause some kiddies discovered how to Photoshop.

American Politicians be like: "Make 'Murica Great Again!" to get your vote, then pass whatever laws they want.

Globally Politicians be like: "Fight the American influence, for our culture!" to get your vote, then they pass whatever laws they want.

Aside from Murica being the scape goat, everything seems to be moving right along in the world. "Im here to get mine, so I will just do as I please... the kids can clean up the mess in 30 years after im gone..." Seems to be the mantra. Politics in general can go to hell.

As long as our future robot overlords don't decide eliminate the entire human race, I think I could live with the change. But I will be disappointed if they don't obliterate the west coast of California and all of Quebec... would probably take care of 50% of the whining in the world. The rest of Cali and Canada im cool with.

Well, not living in Europe finally has some privileges. As soon as I get a minute, I’m heading to meme-generator and whipping up as many as I possibly can and posting them all over the place.

I’m going down to Playa del Carmen pretty soon, so I’ll also post some from Mexico.

Woooo!

:p

The European parliament has rejected plans to fast-track Articles 11 and 13, for now.

Sorry, I should have said communists just for you.

YesI am unabashedly a life-lonng communist and trade union orgnizer since the Vietnam War when my neighbors were coming home in body bags. I reexamined my patriotic beliefs and found that w are all being fed a bunch of lies by the Wall Street controlled-media. I like being called a communist it means I am on the correct path. More accurately I am an egalitarian communist. The old Soviets and Chinese cimmunist parties while doing may good things eventually became corrpt entities due to the monetary privileges that6 party officials and skilled workers had. Money is not supposed to exist in a communist society so by definition they were communist in name only.

If someone from Canada or the EU puts their nose into US politics in the [H] forums then they are totally chastised. What kind of fucking hypocrisy is that?

Probably because the EU is not a nation or even a collection of nations anymore.

It is simply an oppressive buerocracy run by technocrats.

I would say that your knowledge of the EU is rather limited. There are so many branches of government within nations and this is also happening in the EU it self but for all purposes it does more for good then evil, more or less what happens with every form of government.

Beside some of the drawbacks it is good.

I'd say the situation is far more complicated than to outright say "it does more for good than evil.", you really have to break it down by category. How's it doing for Greece? More good than evil for them?

Greece got fucked by Goldman Sachs. Their government failed them, that everywhere in the world the load is not balanced on the poorer demographic of the population got them badly.

Sad to say but that had nothing to do with the EU. The debt situation was unacceptable that leaders who lie to their population to fool them for short term gain is really really bad and that is something that is even happening in other countries today.

A bunch of socialists want to remove all traces of free speech, who would have guessed.

Theresa May is on the other end of the political spectrum. And Angela Merkel isn't exactly the poster child for progressives either. The problem is on the right, not the left.

Yeah, I'm sure EU's policies of austerity while they were already in a depression was nothing but good for them. The EU's influence in Greece's case was worse than nothing at all.

If you say so. Greek leaders promised lavish benefits and pensions to win the vote and stay in power.

The banks didn't force the Greek government to overspend.

In the end, it is the Greek people's fault for being so naive.

When you stop collecting taxes on rich people. When you instead of facing the consequences when you have debt instead of hiding through sheer stupidity and think that Goldman Sachs will save the day that is not what the Greek people voted for.

You are denying a few simple facts. Greece wanted to participate in the EURO they had to cover for their debt. If they said at that time we have debt were not joining the EURO , guess what would have happened?

I'm not denying the brutal way the EU forced Greece to comply but then again other countries as Italy will run a mock and force to drag the rest of the EU with them and that is sadly closer then you think..

...

Ah yes, the liberal method of creating a strong economy: just keep collecting more money from the rich 1% and let everyone be lazy.

What does that even mean ahahha. You seem at a point in your life where "liberal" could mean absolutely everything. Yes, I am saying you don't seem to be very bright

I'll give you that actual communist had the right idea of socializing things. History has proven that cooperation is extremely effective. Thing is, they were purged early on, and camps were built for their families. Most of the bourgeoisie didn't survive. Things went from good to horrible at the very start. Skilled workers didn't mean shit if they didn't follow the one true god: the authority.

I believe it's not "human nature" that's pushing people to corruption. That sort of greed isn't "natural". Fuck no. It's the system that does that. People just want success, so they follow street rules. We're simple creatures even though we often like to pretend otherwise.

You said a whole lot of nothing. I am sure everyone that disagrees with your ideology is "not very bright".

For those of us less enlightened, we try to learn from all view points and not just dismiss them as slow witted.

Oh, I am sorry. I thought I was responding to a purposefully stupid statement designed to provoke even stupider reactions. It was an honest mistake.

Nothing to do with liberal standpoint either , they did not collect taxes period
Rich people in Greece paid not a single thing.

Since you don't know anything about the situation regarding Greece/EU why are you contributing by pigeon holing ideas and then claim what exactly because ideas are liberal they are wrong?
