Well I made my last bit of purchases over the weekend:

Incoming:

3 Q6600's
3 TRUE's
30 Fans
1 8800GTX
1 9800GX2
2 8800GT

Should net me an additional 35-40k PPD putting me at 110-120kPPD range.

All from my home farm.

End results 12 Q6600's, 17 GPU clients.

This will end my investments in F@H for at least a year or so..

Damn that is some serious folding power from a home farm. Good Luck
catching FLECOM looks like he has been ramping up a bit. Maybe he is feeling
the heat...or your nieghbors are :D I didn't have any heat problems in my
folding room, in basement usually at 68 F during summer, until I added 5 GPU clients
and now I am struggling to stay below 80 F. I can't imagine the heat 17 GPUs
put out(insert pic of flaming building). :p

Don't forget to check you insurance if you are well covered... I'm afraid, very afraid of your electric panel

If you manage to do this without burning up, you are truly a [H]ard folder !!!

This is very [H]ard Sunin. Please make sure your power grid can support that much folding. We don't want to lose you! On the plus side you won't have to pay anything extra for heating next winter!!

Good luck with your epic ramp up.

The draw is spread over 5 circuits ranging from 15 to 20 amps each.. each one is not loaded more than 80%ish... but yeah that 100amp inbound line has to be hitting its limit! :p

100A is for 240V which is basically like 200A at 120V (opposite phases). As long as you can spread it, it wouldn't be a issue.

At least we won't have to worry about OCAU for that much longer...!

I can't wait to see pics. Maybe a live webcam watching a thermometer as well so we can watch your condo go supernova. :D

The crazy part to me is that Sunin is doing all of this home grown.

Impressive!

Look, if what you're after is a milestone thread every 4 days, forget it. :D

But seriously, nice toys. Let's see how the [H]ardest Folder EVAR! responds.

Reminds me of the days when ppl had 4-6 dual amd systems, installed systems on the walls and under their beds. Heck there were guys that even made a box to hold a few systems and put it in the crawl space under their house. Crazy times!!! Heck I know a guy that even refers to his farm as the boat he could of had in place of it.

I've still got my AXP dualie running. Running naked even. Who needs a boat? :D

I've still got my AXP dualie running.
So do I, two in fact. One is running 4 standard clients @ 2.2GHz with bonus WUs in XP, and the other is running the SMP client @ 2346MHz in Win 2000. The first one is a Thunder K7 that was folding for the team in 2001 when we first achieved the #1 position. It is truly a veteran of the battlefield. I have two more AXP processors lying around since my third dual socket-A board bit the dust last fall. Probably will retire these AMD systems before the end of the year. 450- 650PPD just doesn't cut it anymore.

im putting out regular WU's like crazy, but those are totally worthless, i should get another two GTX's online tomorrow

good luck tho, hopefully the GPU client continues to put out insane points for everyone

quite frankly if you want to come get me feel free

ive been so busy with work for the last two months, i have to move again and my house got broken into thursday, they stole my x60 tablet, my harmony 1000, my nokia n800, and my t-mobile dash... so ya, PPD isnt on my mind

Sorry to hear that FLECOM, will be praying they find those bastards and get you your stuff back!!!

Yeah, heard this on GM recently. It's so sad and so aggravating :(

go for it.. chase flecom.. you'll either catch him.. or you will never catch him.. (i could just see him decideing to ramp up just to spite us, we would have to pull a team effort gauntlet style just to see where we stand as a team vs him, we may still lose.. lol)

and yeah.. i read about your break in as well man, got your roommates tv as well if i remember correctly. im a beleaver in karma.. and you (as far as i know) have never put out bad, but have had some bad delt to you, so hears to it comeing back around to you in the best possible way.

edit/ and damn do i love this gpu client.. 52 spaces on the first day.. 34 on the seconed.. 16 today... i know im gonna start getting into the real number crunchers here soon, but man this thing is churning out the WU..

Sorry to hear about the break in man. It makes me wonder how my renters insurance would handle that.

Then I thought about what the conversation would be like if some of you had to talk to a cop about a break in.

Officer: Well son, what was taken.
Sunin: 12 Quad core computers and a miniature power sub station.
Officer: Ok, seriously though, I see your closet is empty, did they steal your clothes?
Sunin: That's not a closet, its a server room for my farm.
Officer: Farm? Power Sub Station? What were you growing. Do we need to get drug enforcement up here?
Sunin: It's a computer thing. Want to see pictures? Is it cold in here to you? I need the warm glow of my boxen to stay warm.

Officer walks away slowly...

Don't mean to pry, but what exactly do you do (job wise)? I want to order this much stuff at once. :( /Needs higher paying job. 44K is not enough to satisfy my desire to build folding boxes!

If he wins hard dc'er of the month we can all find out! :)

I'm an Internal Audit Manager in Chicago. I fair pretty well salary wise, but then again I'm paying 1,100 in rent alone :)

You must be doing well for that kind of rent.

$1,100 / month rent in Chicago isn't unreasonable. I have a friend who lived with his wife before they got married, and they had a place up in Buffalo Grove. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, maybe 850 sq. ft, 12th floor, $1,300 / month. That didn't include the satellite TV he had, or most utilities.

This is the same guy who lives in Mundelein now, and paid ~$220k for a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 2-story townhouse.... it sucks finding housing outside of Chicago, from what I understand!
