Credit goes to Patriot for championing this case heavily on IRC. Its finally launched, and looks amazing.

Designed for the SR-2 from the ground up, it can also take up to a 4p board while supporting a 480, 420, and 280 rad all at the same time!

Best of all, its only $220 bucks!

Extremely in depth video review (I'm serious, this is 41 minutes long)

Looks like you have to tap holes with a 4P. The other thing is I would personally be a bit wary of a tower case. Heavy heatsinks * 4 might put some odd stresses on the motherboards. For a SR-2 not bad though!

I would definitely recommend the 4P crowd to get a rack-mount case.

Have you found one that would hold a 4p board without modding? I haven't, but i haven't looked very hard either.

To be honest I didn't like how this case looked at first (and made jokes about it for a while:p). However looking at the pictures and video, I do believe this is probably the best budget solution to the huge board problem many of us have. Regardless of if you have to tap the holes for a 4p, it is better than running on cardboard or overhanging a motherboard tray.

I also believe that if you get most of the mounting points in place you won't be at too big a risk of flex with a 4p. Maybe if you hang 4 noctuas off of the thing you could be concerned, however the dynatron's and waterblocks most use with these simply don't have enough weight with enough leverage to cause a sizable force at the moment.

yeah this case looks promising. I'd love to see if it works for somebody with a 4p board, probably laying on its side.

Definitely looks like a good design based on what I can see. Not the prettiest case I've ever seen on the outside, but the feature set is badass.

i think its fugly but if i get one it'll be in a closet

Man, if it wasn't so dang ugly i'd contemplate putting my next build in it. It has sufficient area for WC gear without modding like an 800D. I didn't watch the review, how much does it weigh empty?

I actually don't think it looks all that bad. I continue to consider watercooling an SR-2 at some point (I have been threatening to do this for approaching a year now, so don't hold your breath), and was going to go with a MM Pinnacle 24. I may change my mind now with this case available, although the $30 shipping kind of kills the "bargain" price of $220....

I don't really care for the forward-facing hard drive cages, but otherwise it looks fine to me. Even at $250, it's a much better deal than the MM because it comes with all the stuff you need to use it. They even throw in a free trayless hotswap cage.

That was my point - I don't think rack-mount cases are feasible for "the 4p crowd" by any practical definition.

with a $700 mobo i would expect to need a more expensive chassis

if you needed more than a couple you could probably have a fabrication shop make some for you and come out ahead.

Do they have one without a stupid window in it? I already know what is inside. ;)
im at work so I can't really search.

Yeah, the one in the video is windowless. Its still not the cleanest sidepanel as there are some vents for accent around the giant 200mm fan grill but I probably prefer it to that silly U shaped window.

They need to offer a plain side panel so you can mod a big [H] into the side of it using red led fans. :p I honestly think there's enough surface area there if you used 80's.

I plan on a 360 rad at the top and 240 on bottom....

If someone would link to some tools to do tapping and stuff that would be marvelous...
best starting point I could find...for ~200 ...

Standoffs are metric right? I got one of these sets for 40 bucks when I had to tap my rad holes for the extra big Bitspower screws.

I got my tap wrench and threaded tap at Lowes.
You need 6/32" for the standoffs. I can't find it on their website, but it's a Kobalt 6NC32.
The drill and thread bit cost me like $4 or $5 and the tap wrench itself was like $4 or $5. No real need to get a kit of a bunch of taps really.

Finally found links

Workers there are kinda clueless (at least at my store), finally after getting like 3 people to help me an old lady that worked there knew where they were after I showed her a picture from their site on my phone; they were on an endcap in the tools section.

When you do it, be really careful, you have to make 100% sure that the threaded tap gets turned perfectly straight otherwise the standoff will wobble in the hole (one of mine in my A77 is like that, but it does stay in the hole at least when the standoff is screwed into). Do it SLOW. You drill the hole with the regular bit, and then use the threaded tap to add the threads for the standoff. If you're local to Fenton, MO LMK I'll help you out. ;) (I think jebo's the only local guy to me though )
