I can say with 90% confidence that we will know by 9:36pm on August 7th whether they will be released that day!
 
Its supposed to be the 7th. PC Club can sell them on the 7th. We got some marketing stuff from Intel that had a big "Dont display until August 7th" for Core 2 Duo.
 
That's so ridiculous imo. What's the point of holding the sale of chips? Anyone?
 
So OEM companies like Dell get a head start? Driving down AMD prices even when Conroe's not even out yet? Those are the only two I can think of.

It doesnt matter their time zone, it matters when they are alowed to sell them. If that is 12PM EST, then they can sell them then, even though its only 8PM there.

REgardless, they dont have them.

you mean 12AM because 12PM is in the middle of the day. also it will be 9PM pacific not 8PM when its 12AM eastern. ;)

Dammit, Newegg's timing it cruel. it hit 1:00 am on my clock and I gets a message saying that I just got an email from them. Thought maybe they were annoucing their Conroe supply. Turns out their dustbunnues case promotion or something.

On the 12AM thing... easy mistake. On the 8PM thing... I failed math class in 3rd grade...

I wasn't planning on it. I look at the clock and it said 1:00am and I get a system tray message saying that I had a new message from Newegg. Turned out to be a case promotions letter.
