That's how it usually works. The useful idiots swallow the ideology and do the dying while the leaders are complete hypocrites and break every rule they subject everyone else to. You can see it in the West, too. One set of rules for the masses, another set of rules for the aristocracy. The world is plagued with lying leaders. It should be no surprise that Muslims would have their share as well, especially the extreme nut job portion like the Taliban.

It's all about controlling the sheeple. These rules never apply to the elites/leaders.

Just like Saudi Arabia, where alcohol is banned, yet the kings sons fly overseas to consume mass quantities.
Or all the people Obama nominated who hadn't payed thier taxes.
Or Al Gore lecturing us about our “carbon footprint” yet between flying all over the world and building his huge house, he has carbon footprint the size of a small city.
Or Obama, telling us we need to cut back, do without, while he’s busy eating $100 lb beef, constantly plays golf, and flies around the worlds taking expensive vacations.

I can go on, but I'm sure everyone gets the picture.

Old news is old....Twitter may be new to them, but they have been using disposable cells, email, and the internet for communication purposes for years.
 
The problem with a conservative society particularly those of Islamic nations is that they become extremely repressed in just about everything. Human nature has the curiosity to circumvent the "teachings" of "Allah", "Mohammed", etc and delve into subjects that are "taboo" including wacking off our wood, consuming pornography, listening to western music, etc. When the taliban just about banned every known damn thing during their rule over Afghanistan, what did the people do? They rebelled against it and now the United States is there eliminating the Taliban, they become easy fools to convince that the Great White (United States) is an enemy to Allah first and foremost. The appeasement of Islamic nations does not work and only through the acceleration of education to increase their literacy rate will make them more aware, not susceptible to Imam's, of the real nature of the world in general. Israel / "The Jews" are universally hated throughout the muslim world due to the fact that Imam's have such easy influence over their foolish worshippers all thanks to illiteracy among the populace.
