Yes. Im hoping for more once I move my bridge outside (802.11 doesnt work too well with long distances, going through a wall. But, its 802.11b, I dont really expect much of a gain (usually peaks out at 3Mbps Rx).

Ahem... tens of thousands of dollars :). Looks like it uses two radios at each site, one for Rx and one for Tx.

Wireless, no matter what technology is going to be flakey at times 802.11b, like what I use is probably the worst of them all. Id assume the 20k per-link motorola wireless backhaul setup would be up at the top for reliability, but you still need to invest a fortune and have line of sight. I just mentioned the whole wireless mess, because the OP sounded like there wasnt any other options to get higher upload speeds. Two ISP's here are using it, because im sure its far cheaper for them to pay out 60k for a 900Mbps connection out in the middle of nowhere, compared to running fiber optics all over to three different sites.

So anyways...
 
if you need 1.5 up and down, there is SDSL. The ONLY reason to go for T1 is because of uptime. That's all there is to it. If that's not all that important to you, get ADSL or SDSL and save yourself some money.

Depends what hardware you get.....I have a few clients on the Canopy they get through a strategic partner of mine...he lights up a lots of businesses nearby my office.

We're currently awaiting grant approval from a school client of mine..to shoot a 15 meg Canopy pipe across 8 miles of sound (water)...to an island.
