System stuck at title screen

Shut down normal two days ago and about 3 hours later tried to turn it on...
It hangs forever at the title screen where it says at the bottom:
"Press delete to run Setup, Press tab to run BIOS post message"

So far i have replaced the hard drive and get the same problem.
I can get into all BIOS menus and have already loaded "default settings".
I have tried to set CD first boot (reinstall Windows) but i cant even get that far.

*I could not see reset pins on the MoBo

Built and running smooth since 8/10/2008;
-ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe/WiFi AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard
-AMD Phenom 9950 X4 Black Edition Agena 2.6GHz Socket AM2+ 140W Quad-Core Processor
-OCZ Reaper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1150 (PC2 9200) Desktop Memory Model OCZ2RPR11504GK
-Brand new Western Digital Caviar WD800BB 80GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

yes, i was going to try that, but like i said, i could not find the pins to reset it. maybe if i had the manual D:

You can also pop out the bios battery for 30 seconds or so and it will reset. If you are able to get into the bios check all of your settings for ram, cpu, speed, etc

someone on eggXpert wants me to try this:

What happens when you unplug the IDE drive, connect the SATA dirve, set the SATA controller to IDE mode (not RAID or AHCI), and then try to boot from the optical drive?

but i dont think its a hard drive issue being the first hard drive worked fine through at least four or five Windows XP and 7 reinstalls plus the new hard drive is IDE

How long did you leave the battery out for?
I had the same problem with a similar build a few years back and did the battery removal trick several times and nothing happened. Soon as replaced it after I left it out overnight it started right up and I never had further issues with it.

Make sure the main power cable is unplugged when you do this.

i know it worked because i had to enter the date and time in the bios and it prompted me before the title screen. I suppose i could try replacing the battery. its cheap fix/try.

I was thinking i could try updating the bios by flashing. the bios does allow me to do bios updates

i also haven't looked for popped or leaking capacitors yet....

updated to latest BIOS flash using USB method and FIXED Thank you everyone
